Violinbwoy is back again on the label Archetype Records with his first E.P. This is not a conventional release of reggae or dub music. This release is about the experimentation of Violinbwoy. We had the desire to walk off the beaten track, and to open the sound system culture to different vibes. This is our small step to the musical opening. The E.P. opens with the track Six Swords that refers to a significant tarot card. If you draw this card, it means that you need and want to move forward, break down barriers and open your mind to new horizons. This is exactly what dub music is about. Violinbwoy built a strong riddim full of softness, sampling female voices. After a smooth introduction, the bass line comes and transforms the track into a real dance song. The expressive passages of violin will send you on a mystical musical journey. The second track; Unforeseen Circumstances, has a long hypnotic introduction mixing operatic voice and beautiful arpeggio. When you least expect it, the skank arrives and unleashes the beat that engulfs an epic sound phenomenon. Now it’s time to flip the vinyl and run the back track! This side is dedicated to sound system with two cuts of the track Long Way. This is an epic track for warriors! The horns call the army on the battlefield before the kick and snare prompt a moving assault. The big bass-line rings the beginning of the battle. The song ends on a wave of melodic and melancholic notes. Violinbwoys’ second cut is as epic as the first one! Get yourself ready!
This release is a must have for all unconventional music listeners and selectors. It comes in a Uk brown sleeve hand stamped and hand numbered and it is a limited edition.

Antipod Records vous présente le nouveau vinyle des producteurs Maïs et Sin. Il s'agit d'un single de 2 titres intitulé "Rat Race", qui fait référence à la course sans fin de l'homme moderne, sans cesse à la poursuite du temps, du progrès ou encore de l'argent. 

Sur la face A, Junior Dread, évoque donc la nécessité d'une prise de conscience et l'avenir promis aux nouvelles générations, à nos enfants.

Vous trouverez sur la face B, la version composée à la trompette par Tribuman.

Ayant fait ses débuts au sein du collectif hip-hop Hazard, Maïs se lance en solo dans le dub en 2010. Il rejoint le label Antipod en 2012 et y sort son premier EP intitulé "EP0". Dubmaker et dubstepper, Maïs enchaîne les collaborations et projets originaux. 
Après un feat. avec Charlie P, pressé en vinyle en 2016, un second vinyle en feat. avec Sir Jean en 2018, le dernier single 10" feat. Junior Dread est sorti en mai 2020.
Ses productions, sont jouées et remixées sur scène sous forme de live set.
