Medellin in Colombia is fast becoming a major destination on the techno scene, with globally renowned events, DJs and artists emerging. Marck D is one such artist that has been flying the flag for this blossoming scene, and his debut EP for EI8HT encapsulates this talented producer’s elemental style.

Four bangers are served up on Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s label and follows up recent releases for labels such as Unity Records, Tronic and Unrilis. The ‘Sensation’ EP is choc-full of jackin’ and raw techno cuts, fashioned for the dancefloor and delivered with more bounce to the ounce!

In December of 2022, with Turbo Recordings nearing the cusp of its 25th year, label Owner, Founder and Executive Vision Honcho Tiga sent out an urgent missive to friends and collaborators across the globe:

While the mere mention of a label compilation is enough to get anyone’s imagination rock-hard, just consider some of the names involved. From legends like Soulwax (as 2manydjs), Matias Aguayo, Jori Hulkkonen, The Hacker, Seth Troxler, and Audion to modern masters like Cora Novoa, Disfreq, Nikki Nair, Fedele, Mathame (and many more), Turbo 25 spans soundscapery from the label’s rich past, rich present, and VR-heavy future. "Vibe Quest Chapter One" is a sneak preview into label-head Sabo's upcoming full length LP, with 2 stellar remixes from Acid Pauli and Nadastrom.
"Vibe Quest" is a slow chill-out entry to ease you into this new deeper sound, and features Sabo's Mom, Carolyn Sabatini, live on the vibraphone. "Singing Game" is a mid tempo deep tribal cut complete with African percussion, thick bass, and builds into a beautiful breakdown sampling a group of small young girls from the Ivory Coast playing a game of call and response. This tune was 1st debuted on the Robot Heart bus in 2013 at Burning Man. Acid Pauli takes "Singing Game" and transforms it into club ready deep techno cut with analog synths weaving in and out, constantly building melodies until the climatic breakdown. Nadastrom take "Vibe Quest" into another dimension with an epic mid tempo journey into deep slow house. The remix builds and builds until the break down where they let the jazzy skills of Carolyn Sabatiini's vibraphone solo breath new life into the dance floor, before coming back in with the tribal groove.

Drums Theory is a duo made up of French artists Blicz & Geerson, who share a specific approach to music making with a signature style of techno constructed by banging beats, intricate percussion and wavy melodies.
