Sacred Spaces And Distant Voices

These are the audio recordings of 2 homemade synthesizers that my dad and I engineered together during the early 1980s. Thanks, Dad for the creative ideas you have shared and shown me in the electronics and audio engineering fields. The 2 audio synthesizers were made from transistors, capacitors, switches, and knobs. There were no ICs or chips used in the circuit designs. All the electronic components were ordered from electronic hobbyists’ mail-order magazines, and we salvaged parts from Heathkits electronics. We started building the two synthesizers in late 1979 and finished them in mid-1981. In 1981 I was around the age of 9. We recorded the sounds of the synthesizers on a Sony Reel-2-Reel Recorder. I am sorry for the low audio quality because the reels were in a state of decay. Because the reels were made from magnetic tape, which stayed in the basement for about 15 years untouched and decaying. I salvaged what I could from the reels. My idea was to use the two synthesizers in the 1990s to make soundtracks for videos or TV commercials.

I Made this track with Propellerhead's Reason 8.0,  I used 7 THOR synths with custom patches I made myself from scratch, 2 Subtractor synths, and a time shiftier program. I made 5 different versions of this track,  which version is the best
