I don't get a whole lot of spare time, but worked on this a over the course of a few weeks for an hour here and there using quite a few of the pieces I beta test. So some of this is uncharted waters without using my "go to" gear...but it sure was fun and I think it turned out really cool. Always wanted to cover this song but couldn't sing it....so I quit smoking nearly 3 years ago, now I sang it. This is me performing everything, no programming. Enjoy!

Perfect Strangers_Danny Danzi Cover by Deep Purple

Just a little jam I was messing with. One of my students had this backing track and was competing in a contest with it. I'm not sure who the author of the backing track is, but it's not me. I'm just playing the solo. :) But anyway, my student asked me what I would play if I was in the contest and this was my one take to show him live and on the spot.

This won top 10 in the Staind guitar solo contest on the Indaba music site. Lots of incredible players turned out and I was happy to at least make it to the top 10 and won an autographed Staind CD. The grand prize winner got his version featured on the iTunes version of "Not Again" by Staind.
