The latest release on Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint finds the label presenting the fourth installment of it's ‘Correlation' series. Released in August of 2017, the inaugural edition featured a unique blend of untapped talent along with industry veterans, resulting in a cohesive fusion of artists from across the world. The label's borderless music policy was also well represented, showcasing a wide spectrum of electronica, from organic house to melodic house and deeper progressive grooves. Released in 2020, the label's third edition proved to be it's most impactful to date, with the lead selection ‘Kafka' by Ercos Blanka racking up over two million (and counting) Spotify plays over the last calendar year. The conspicuity of rhythm is a veil to the more introspective underpinnings of Esperanza by MoM, ANuT, and CharlieM, with a certain cerebral momentum hidden within electronic intricacies throughout. The single is a byproduct of being in confinement in 2020, “because precisely we hope that there will be a better world in the future,” as MoM explains. With this ambitiously simple message concerning the fundamental principles of love, sharing, and helping, the music becomes analogous to life itself. Walking moments is HMWL debut by Dubai based ADHM, a rapidly emerging artist known for his melodically instrumental sounds that mostly fall on the deeper side. His multicultural background is always portrayed as a mystical journey made by hypnotic grooves, harmonies and beats, his style encompasses the deeper and groovier end of house. From an early age he was heavily influenced by music and how it can take the listener on an ethereal and often melancholic journey.

On the remix duty are El Mundo & Zazou two of the main protagonists of Berlin’s Deep House and Rave scene. With over 250,000 combined monthly streams on Spotify the duo are regulars on playlists like Deep House Blend, Beats to think to, Afterhours and Organica as well as recurrent headliners at Fusion Festival and Burning Man.

Walking moments was inspired by a turning point in my life. After a long and stable pharmaceutical path, I rerouted my journey following the stressful Covid times. This lead me to leaving Canada altogether and empowered me to explore new parts of the globe that are closer to my roots yet paired with a foreign flare, which then landed me in Dubai. WM was initiated in Toronto and finalized in Dubai. This EP was designed to teleport you to a positive dimension, one that we all really need right now. Says ADHM

With 'Sonata in a Daze' we welcome Australian sound maestro Filter Bear to ICONYC with his latest masterpiece. Filter Bear who is been causing quite a stir with his deep stirring house influenced productions. He has released on labels like Replug, Slideways, Traum and Nuit Blanche amongst others, and has gathered massive support from the world's finest including Sasha, Hot Since '82, Nick Warren, Pig and Dan, Chaim, Eelke Kleijn, Hector Romero, Behrouz, X-Press 2 to Armin Van Buuren.

His latest outing shows maturity and musical development as we kick off proceedings with the title track 'Sonata in a Daze', an expressive, progressive house influenced track, interspersing with roomy glowing love and filtered stabs, which beautifully leads into the dreamlike drop to round off this brilliant underground crowd pleaser, with its understated yet driving bassline powering the groove along. Filter Bear manages to keep the energy up, subtlety allowing the driving house feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape.

To close out Filter Bear's stunning EP we have the deep, hypnotic 'Together in May' featuring New York based vocalist Shane Hagan, which is interspersed with subtle effective percussion a profound deep-tech groove and indie influence, turning this one into an underground anthem with a very soul tangling appeal. In short, this EP is everything we have come to expect from Filter Bear and a wonderful way to start his affiliation with ICONYC, as he once more shows his sound remains as fresh, super-charged and relevant as he ever was.
