‘Cocaine Dreamer' is the soundtrack to the morning after a night of sin! Tender and romantic, yet dark and soul-baring, it highlights the complexity of love, desire and freedom. 
Performed, written and produced entirely by me during lockdown of 2020,  it is the first of many exciting releases of 2021 and will be shortly followed with an official video, an acoustic version and acoustic performance video! This one is for the heart!

Off the back of his debut album “Another Year” which amassed over 10 million
streams and recent signing with Believe, MDWS releases his first single from his
upcoming EP, Naive accompanied by a haunting video. Naive is both a sombre
and explosive track for anyone who’s experienced an existential crisis after
losing someone, and the feeling of inadequacy that follows.

Drawing heavily upon his own life experiences and folk background before
venturing into electronic music, MDWS’ songwriter ‘Callum Mcnab’ blends his
musical knowledge across genres to bring a completely new style, conveying
the dissociative feelings that come with juggling the past, present and future.
Naïve combines nostalgic love for folk music, hip hop drum grooves reminiscent of James Blake’s work and introspective ballad style lyrics, making it a genre-
breaking track dives into some deep issues we all experience.
