“Promises” is one of our absolute favorite songs we’ve released so far. It started by Dave Cowell (who you might know as a co-writer for Sleep Theory & Nevertel, among many other bands) reaching out to us a year ago, asking if we’d like to write a song together in his studio in Memphis TN. Being huge fans of his work, we immediately responded with “say when”. This song was a result of such a fun experience, it has parts that were made in an empty hotel lobby at 5AM, and it has parts that were tracked after a dinner, at midnight (some of the best parts, may we add), when we thought the day at the studio was over. Long story short, it wouldn’t be possible without Dave, so huge props to him for such a banger of a song and a banger of experience.

Dialing down the intensity of the “100db wake-up call”, ‘The Flood’ has been reworked into a chilling piano-driven ballad complemented with an honest, fragile vocal performance that is in just a few words: pure emotion.

Возглавляемая двумя вокалистами и сонграйтерами родом из России, лауреат и победитель многих контестов, билингвальная бостонская группа Major Moment быстро нашла свое кинематографическое рок-звучание, дополненное современным продакшеном, элементами электронной музыки, и считает своей миссией нести позитивный месседж в массы, вдохновлять людей на самореализацию и проживать жизнь, наполненную смыслом. 

Воодушевленные успехом недавно вышедшего сингла “The Flood” (“Потоп”), набравшего более 180 000 прослушиваний на Spotify, и поддержкой русскоязычных слушателей, группа решила адаптировать текст песни под русский язык, и песня “После Нас Потоп” стала первым  русскоязычным релизом от Major Moment.
 
Идея англоязычной версии была навеяна известным Французским высказыванием "Après nous, le déluge" - “После нас хоть потоп”, также часто встречаемым в русской речи, поэтому авторы сочли логичным перевести именно эту песню “обратно” на русский язык.
 
История как никогда актуальна, и повествует о проблемах, знакомых каждому. Когда люди ведут себя так, как будто планета вращается вокруг них, ставят себя превыше других, не считаются с нуждами окружающих, не думают о шрамах, оставленных после себя...

Изначально, текст песни должен был рассказывать о личных проблемах, с которыми столкнулись участники Major Moment, но вскоре стало понятно, что у готовящейся песни более универсальный, глубокий смысл. Разочарование в людях, неуважение и брезгливость, проявления которых мы наблюдаем на улицах каждый день, безразличие к наследию, которое мы оставим после себя своим последователям - вот темы, затрагиваемые в “После Нас Потоп”.
 
В темные времена разгара пандемии, бунтов, полицейской жестокости, когда все самые негативные человеческие качества вылазят наружу, сингл “После Нас Потоп” напоминает, что мы ВСЕ - одна большая семья. Мы должны поддерживать друг друга, заботиться о ближних, и что, несмотря на наши естественные различия, мы все одной крови.
