Burning Man didn't happen this year. There weren't 20,000 people in the desert who built a city, did some art, and shared a community based on principles and joy. Nope, definitely none of that. And this certainly wasn't a set I played under a beautiful shade structure to a packed house on a wild Friday night, so don't get the wrong idea when you listen to it. This never happened.

Sacred Dance Afters 2024

Lightning in a Bottle is hands down my favorite festival! Playing aboard the Kuker art car is a unique experience, not only in the fantastic design of the car itself, but in the way it moves when the crowd gets rowdy! This set definitely has some mistakes in it, but if you've ever tried to play aboard a bouncing art car, you'll understand how hard it is to execute a perfect set!

The car and its crew are staples of LiB, and true to its form, the Kuker chases away all bad vibes with its rockin' sound, snow machines, and fire effects! Big love to the Kuker Fam for having me play for them not just once but twice this year!

What a fitting farewell to Airpusher Collective's beloved airship art car, Shippy! Our camp all climbed aboard for a cruise around the artworks at Burning Man, and I was honored to play this set as we sailed around the Playa. Thank you, Shippy, for your many years of service to the Playa and for making our little Powder Run one of the highlights of our burn!

Ps. If you've never DJed aboard a moving art car, you can replicate the effect by having one friend shake your DJ table while you try to balance on a Bosu ball. It's great fun, but makes nailing a technical DJ set a little harder lol...

I kicked off LIB for the third year with my favorite Bulgarian vibe demon car, the Kuker! I played some of my fav tracks of the moment, alongside a bunch of my own tunes too. It was an absolute blast and I can't wait to do it again next year!

Live on The People's Banana | Lightning in a Bottle 2025

Hot out of the dust from Burning Man comes this set of heaters from Mindshark camp located at 4:30 & Esplanade! A short hop down the road from my camp, BRC Snow Club, this set was super fun as I got to gradually increase the pace and energy as the night went on. Plus it was a 90-minute set, which you don't usually get out there in such a prime location!

This one was special as I was invited to play by Ashoat and Jocelyn, whose spectacular Whistler wedding I performed at back in February this year. Ashoat discovered me at Burning Man last year when I was playing on Airpusher on Friday night (that set is also on my Soundcloud) and I couldn't say no to playing the wedding after hearing his and Jocelyn's story (it includes a first date skiing at Whistler, many burns together, both of them also DJ, and he proposed in the Alaskan backcountry! C'mon now! 😍).

Thank you to Ashoat, Jocelyn, and the entire Mindshark team for having me! This was a blast and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed playing!

This set is full of absolute HEATERS,  with tracks from James Hype, Dom Dolla, John Summit, R3wire, Tita Lau, and so many more amazing artists. Oh, and of course several of my own original tracks too!

Breakfast of Champions 2025 | Live from the Heavy Petting Zoo stage!

This year's burn was absolutely incredible, and Wednesday night was a crowning moment on the week!  The awesome folks at the Santa Cruz-based Ali Bar-Bar invited me to play after local legend Dancing Mandy from Midnight to 2am, and my Sextant Camp family came en masse to support and dance their tails off!  After a bit of a hectic start (I got there and realized I forgot my power cable for my controller on the Skylark art car and had to race across BRC to get it, come back, and be ready to start in 8 minutes), things started falling into place.  Around 1:55am, their camp lead and the night's closing DJ, Horst, came up and told me to keep playing if I wanted to since the place was going off and we wanted to keep the energy flowing!  It was an incredibly gracious gesture and I happily obliged.  Not a perfect set by any means, but for operating on 2 hours of sleep and playing for 3 hours, I'll take it!  Thank you so much to everyone at Ali Bar-Bar for having me out!!!  It was one of the highlights of my burn!

When Marco, Ali Bar-Bar's music curator extraordinaire, reached out to me about playing their opening night party on Playa, I asked him what sound he wanted to set the tone for the week.  His reply?  "Just blow the roof off that place."

"Opening Night insanity" Live at Ali Bar-Bar | Burning Man 2019

One of the highlights of my burn this year was living out a dream I’d had for the last two years: playing an uplifting trance set at sunrise aboard an art car. Thanks to my Airpusher family, I got to make this dream a reality during the most spectacular sunrise I’ve ever witnessed at Burning Man. Queen Lisa played "10 Seconds to Sunrise" as her last track, I mixed in with "We Control the Sunlight," and right as the first drop hit, the sun popped up over the mountains to light our day.  We couldn't have done it better if we'd planned it!  The set closes with "Galaxia" which seemed a fitting conclusion to what was - for me - an emotional and cathartic set, just like my 2018 burn.  Enjoy!
