This song is about asking yourself what you would do once you've achieved success. When you actually get the bag everyone is chasing what will you do with it? The song features an uptempo beat with hard 808's and a melodic hook partnered with some of the craziest bars.

This song is inspired by the everlasting struggle to overcome never-ending obstacles throughout the journey of life. While writing the verses I reflected on my younger self and the mindset that pulled me through turbulent times. Not only does the song focus on the tough times, but it highlights the way the victories give you the confidence to push forward.

What You Been Through

Chicago born artist Mak was fascinated with music from the time he took his first steps. Embracing the arts, Mak began to write poetry about things he experienced during his childhood. Winning awards and praise for his talents Mak continued to cultivate his skills throughout his early years. After some rough adolescent years in Chicago’s inner city, Mak’s family moved to Kansas City. After the move the young creative would experience times that contribute strongly to the character of the person he was becoming. After some time the self taught Artist/Producer would team up with other young rappers from the Kansas City area to create Clip Up Gang. After having some success collaborating with many artists, producers, and traveling the US, Mak is currently working on multiple projects both solo and collaborative as well as other business endeavors.
