Oratnitza came about during the hot summer of 2009 while busking by the sea. The idea soon evolved to interpret Bulgarian traditional songs in a way which our generation can truly embrace. Oratnitza is a blend of forgotten folk melodies, distant aboriginal themes, hip hop, dubstep, D'n'B and irregular rhythms. 
Oratnitza is with the FUSION EMBASSY label.

The great Romani masters are renowned worldwide for their virtuosity and depth of emotion, bringing audiences to their feet with their social and celebratory music. Makanitza play this vibrant music with this same passion and dedication, playing music from the vast wealth of Romani and Eastern European songs and dances to create unique and personal interpretations.
