We welcome our fellow townsman, the man with the many monikers Steve Mensink aka Frits Wentink. He has been making waves for a few years now with his original take on house & techno and thru mindblowing livesets with handmade controllers. Recently he started his own imprint Will & Ink together with Presk for their techno output wich took the scene by storm.

As Frits he takes things on a housier tip as he showed the world before with beautiful releases on Fourth Wave and Triphouse. Bassheavy, UK influenced melodic gems are therefore featured on his brandnew Wolfskuil release.

First making an appearance with his spaced-out edit of Next's "Too Close" on our Edits EP at the end of 2013, this is the first full EP from Danish newcomer Erosion Flow (Henrik Koefod). This record pitches the breadth of Koefod's sound running swinging, gritty house against grime-infused 4/4 and off-beat electronica. Already getting serious support from the burgeoning Danish house scene, this EP shows the damage that Erosion Flow can do!

After years of making many underground club hits, Nick Hannam at still only 20yrs old, releases his debut EP, The Manuscript on iPlay Digital. This 3 track EP is a labour of love that showcases Nick’s current emotional sounds with an undeniable attention to detail.

The sultry vocals on “Too Much” handsomely marry the bass heavy grooves on a nice and deep tempo. This tempo carries on into “In The Club” where things take on a G-House feel. Finally, “Eyes Of Yours” rounds of the EP with a variety of hair raising beats. The Manuscript is sure to be one of the highlight of this summer.

Over the past 6 years WOLF Music have earned their stripes as stalwart purveyors of refined House and Disco. Now, in the follow up to Medlar and Greymatter’s debut LPs and EPs from the likes of Ishmael, Ossie and Casino Times they ready their 3rd LP from Dutchman Frits Wentink.

Now residing in Amsterdam, Frits has a glowing back catalogue of soulful, Lo Fi club material that’s touched Heist Recordings as well as WOLF in the form of his ‘Mouse’ and ‘Goose’ EPs. With an experimental approach to hardware and instrumentation, his work blooms naturally through jams and improv and in this - his debut LP: ‘Rarely Pure, Never Simple’ we see a development in this experimentation to enlivening effect.

Working with a meld of grubby samples, chunky percussion and the frequent vocal accompaniment of Utrecht based Loes Jongerling, Rarely Pure Never Simple is a journey through Frits’ influences forged into a cohesive pack of grooves and interludes tinged with a certain charming nostalgia.

MF Robots return to BBE Music with ’Happy Song’, the stunning lead single from their forthcoming album ‘Break The Wall’. 

Following up last year’s label debut, a fiery cover version of the Chairmen Of The Board classic ‘Finders Keepers’, ‘Happy Song’ offers up a scintillating first taste of album ‘Break The Wall, due for release in Spring 2021. And what an introduction it is: uplifting and timeless soul/funk, showcasing Dawn Joseph’s effortless yet powerful lead vocal and Jan Kincaid’s unmistakable, vibrant rhythm section to perfection. Jazz-tinged Rhodes chords, ultra-tight horns and a funky clavinet riff on the outro complete this highly polished arrangement, underpinning a melody that can only be described as an earworm.

Collaborating for the first time while recording and performing with one of the UK’s most commercially successful Acid Jazz bands The Brand New Heavies in 2013, founder / drummer Jan Kincaid and vocalist Dawn Joseph discovered immediate musical chemistry and began writing songs together right away. They soon left the band to concentrate on their own work, starting MF Robots (Music For Robots) and releasing an eponymous debut in 2018. The album was so well received that the duo soon morphed into a band as they found themselves in-demand at venues and festivals all over Europe. 

Forthcoming long player ‘Break The Wall’ represents a new benchmark for Jan and Dawn, reflecting the MF Robots project coalescing and maturing while fine-tuning their material, both on the road and in the studio.
