After “Todesblei Salonfähig gemacht” and “Retours d’Acide”, here comes the third volume in TuT/RuR’s tribute compilation series, this time on Rectangle Astral. When, at the end of the 80s, the wave of Techno washed over Europe, it not only revolutionized the world of music at large…. it also created a multitude of local genres and subgenres, some of which became universal references, while others remain little known to this day. In Valencia, on the Spanish Riviera, one did not only move to the hardcore rhythms of Mákina in those days. As early as 1989, Julio Nexus and his label Megabeat, later joined by German Bou and Nezkabel Records, began to produce the first records of what was to become “El Sonido De Valencia”. Influenced by Synth Pop, New Wave and EBM, the Sound of Valencia is an unidentified object in the story of techno music: with its baroque synthetic saxophones, its Spanish Twin Peaks samples, its subtle electro beats and its almost kitsch melodies, it has little in common with the 140+ BPM hardcore Tekkno happening everywhere else at the time. Today, almost 25 years later, it is high time to pay tribute to a mostly forgotten and totally underrated scene, which had nonetheless an everlasting impact on many South-European ravers. High time to „remember the future“, with nine contemporary reenactments of the Valencian magic.

This thirteenth edition of the independent label contains a various number of known bands such as Psyche, Schwarzblut, Fatal Casualties and Makina Girgir as well as wonderful and more unknown work by THX 1971, Manic De{e}pression and A State Called Faith amongst others. 
After the success of ‘A Visual And Auditory Reminder Or The Beauty Of Life’, Seja’s first compilation on vinyl, a second edition was about to be expected soon; people keep on asking about it.
The combination of well-known and less known, European and overseas, turns this release into a scenic view of the state of the contemporary alternative electronic music scene. Hard pruning work is interspersed with delicate songs and it is this that makes this album so surprising and special. It is striking quality with carefully chosen sequence of songs. Seja herein has a sure “fingerspitzengefühl” for which 'SORE', like its predecessor, sounds like one logical piece.
"SORE" is only available on vinyl. And as usual, Seja managed again to create a work of art on the album sleeve, this time assisted by photographer Hannah Mai. The LP includes an inlay with photos, texts, info + postcard.
