Tunes Delivery is a sub-label of Scruscru's Scruniversa and now it enters into the world with a fantastic first offering in the form of this six-track various artists EP. 'Hotmood' opens up with the feel-good disco-funk of 'Just Tonight,' Scruscru keeps it real with 'Funky Flute' which is a nice languid instrumental and Frank Virgilio up the ante with some big horn-laced grooves. The flip side then comes on strong with three more brilliantly musical grooves that brim with catchy riffs and fresh disco-infused rhythms. A great start to what is sure to be a great label.

Aisling means Dream or Vision in Gaelic, Its also the birth name of this particular Irish song writing vocalist living in London.

Her lyrics and voice have been described as possessing an almost conversational intimacy, with a smooth contralto that she deftly wraps around the melodies, swooping up every so often to a lilting jazzy falsetto.

Aisling has worked with some of the top names in the soul, hip hop and jazz world including Roots Manuva, Domu. More recently she has worked with the likes of Phil Asher and the Urban Soul Lab.

Hey Lover was a track she wrote and recorded some years ago with one of the original Bugz in the Attic producers Afronaut, one of the original broken beat pioneers. This is a match made in heaven, Orin working his technically wicked drums and Aislings sexy haunting vocals tempting you over the top, works like butter on toast. The vocal twists you up and get you salivating for more.. We can certainly see this this one being played on dance floors all around Europe from Croatia to Ibiza.

The package comes with a hot dubby Crackzat remix, which cleverly uses the chorus loop to the max with deep keys and punch to get the floor moving straight away,

Currently she is recording her debut album at the Lab Studios in Clapham with Drew set for release in 2016. For those not in the know Drew is the producer and musician behind Incognitos Natalie Williams and Mercury nominee and UK hip hop godfather Tys prolific output to date.

It looks like 2016 is set to be an exciting year for Aisling with a debut album on the horizon and the right team around her. One things for sure you dont want to miss sampling a taste when the album is released.

In 2012, in the wake of the huge success of 'These Tears' in South Africa, Spiritchaser assembled a string of singles, including 'Yesterdays Gone, 'Find A Way', 'Edge Of The World' and 'Paradise Row' amongst them. As well as the mainstream and underground success, 'Paradise Row - Horizone Dub' was a 'go to' track for a number of compilations, spanning deep, soulful house and chill out brands. And it's this Dub that Richard Earnshaw has subtly re-tweaked for 2016 with his 'RE-Vision'. 

Along with new drum programming, some of Spiritchaser's trademark textures have been swapped out for more of a jazz infused approach, which has been one of Earnshaw's many calling cards for nearly 20 years.

BBE Music continues its long and fertile partnership with vibraphone legend and godfather of neo-soul, Roy Ayers, with the first ever reissue of his 1983 album Silver Vibrations.

Originally released in the UK only on Uno Melodic Records, ‘Silver Vibrations’ shares some of its musical DNA with ‘Lots Of Love’, Ayers’ US album from the same year. However, ‘Silver Vibrations’ contains four unique cuts all of its own, plus extended takes of three songs, including the definitive version of iconic song ‘Chicago’. The rarity of the original pressing has led to eye-watering second-hand prices for this truly brilliant LP.

‘Silver Vibrations’ was perhaps the last album to retain the sound of Ayers’ organic ‘classic’ period of the latter ’70s and manages to stand up well under its current re-evaluation. “Chicago”, the unedited version of which is exclusive to this L.P., received considerable airplay in its time and has barely faded from earshot ever since;

its woozy, mysterious vibe and cosmic ruminations from Roy in the second half have certainly endured. The strutting, funky “Good, Good Music” echoes Ayers at his pre-’80s, up- tempo disco peak, sporting a grittier edge and an old-school party atmosphere. Title track “Silver Vibrations” was only ever released in the U.K., both on this album and as a single, backed with “Fast Money”. Both “Lots Of Love” and “Keep On Movin'” hark back to previous times and are a pleasant listen without being at all taxing. “Smiling With Our Eyes” is mid- tempo, lilting and jazzy, with a vocal vaguely reminiscent of Stevie Wonder in places. The wistful “D.C. City”, a close companion of Ubiquity’s original recording of “The Third Eye” is, in many ways, quintessentially Roy Ayers.
