Fusion Festival, that was fun!!

Here's the recording of my set on Sunday 12 - 3pm in Räuberhöhle.

El Mundo (8bit/Bondage Music), real name Pim van der Burgt, has been dj-ing and producing over more than 10 years now. In those years he was involved in several projects, platforms and labels. All were ingredients for his international career up till now.

The music he produces is right from the heart and a product of his personality; warm and characteristic. As a DJ, El Mundo has an honest approach and fine feeling for the dancefloor with his dreamy, psychedelic, deep and groovy sounds. Once upon a time there were two wandering boys who felt like they had something special to say. Iranian by birth, Canadian by upbringing, they’ve had the urge to create their own bridge between these two worlds ever since they could remember. Equipped with nothing but their passion and love, they stormed the electronic music scene in Vancouver as DJs for more than 5 years. Now their story takes them to Berlin as a new chapter begins. 

Their names are Behnam & Mehran and together they are Madota.

trndmsk Future Stars #28: San Miguel - Symphony Of Insanity

Dear friends,

this is something I wanted to do for a looong time, digging up rare, eclectic and often unnoticed gems of Electronica, Slow Rave and Deep House, some with soulful ethnic vibes, and create a DJ mix of it. It's been a long process to collect and select, so there's really a lot of work in this.

This is a completely free and uncommercial work for you to enjoy, but I want to ask you to support the artists involved, so please, check the tracklist and buy one or the other track (if you find it!). This is extremely well produced music of the highest quality and the people behind deserve more than just attention or listening to it. Go follow them on social media, Spotify, Soundcloud and whatnot, and again: please, buy some their stuff if you like it.

This is a 6 hour journey which I recommend to approach very open-minded and with attention. As mentioned, this is fantastic music. I call this "Navigator" because the purpose of it is to navigate you through an entire universe of vibes and sounds by artists from very different places. I think, despite the differences, it's a very homogenic piece that can be considered as one.

The duration of it could navigate you through:

• a full working day
• a car, train, bus ride, flight or boat trip
• a full night of love
• a hike through breathtaking landscapes
• a climb up a beautiful and challenging mountain
• another kind of "trip" (be careful with drugs!)
• a visit at your mother in law
• an evening with friends by a cracking bonfire
• a day on the beach
• an afternoon in a cabin in the woods (minus the horror part)
• lying in bed, planning how to save the world, while you watch rain drops hitting your windows

Whatever. You'll know how to enjoy it. I hope you're able to feel as good as I do when listening to it.

Perfectly in tune with the summer season upon us, Islandman presents a refreshing sound from the shores of the Black Sea with this splendid sunny mix. Originally from Turkey, this brilliant producer started out at a young age and made his way in music by playing a traditional long-necked lute known as a saz. It’s thanks to this early relationship with music that Islandman developed the technique and feeling needed to handle farfetched rhythms, sounds and chants inspired by the flowering cultures of the Mediterranean Basin and beyond to blend them with mastery in his tracks and mixes. This eclecticism and understanding of music has helped him put together a wide range of melodies and musical styles which extend from enchanting edits of traditional Bulgarian sounds to smooth balearic disco. His mix is exciting and mesmerising, catching the mind in a gentle twine of melodies and rhythms. His perfect balance of percussions and electronic beats shakes and ripples throughout the track, and lifts you with ecstatic vibes. The mix goes on in a beautifully arranged journey set by the pace of your own inner dance, as if the concept of time ceases to exist and it’s just you and the music. June's full moon is brought to you by German talent Landhouse. Influenced by the techno party scene during the naughty Nineties, he started deejaying in early 2000.  Hosting a small Party row in Erdbeermund Karlsruhe called Wohnstubendisko since 2008, Landhouse started producing in 2014. 

His compositions are deep and touching, very powerful tools to unfold profound emotions and able to take you from dreamy atmospheres to the tenebrous side of music. 

We are proud to announce that this mix contains some inedited songs from his new 8 track Album LIFE, to release here on Pachamama mid July 2018. Watch this space and enjoy this podcast in the meantime!

After discovering the world of electronic music in 2000, today’s featured artist Muno has since experimented with classical, minimal house, and dance, before finding his definitive ‘intercultural dark’ sound. Formerly performing under the alias Gurtz during his electronic dance phase, Muno also performs as part of the trio Kermesse. In recent years, while travelling Europe, a new musical dimension opened for Muno so that he decided he wanted his music to bring fresh vibes for both his listeners and himself. “I returned home from a two month trip in Europe, I had heard a lot of artists playing very similar music. I understood that I needed something different after this trip” he said, “a new challenge”. So for today’s podcast he offers us a blend of his remastered tracks, as well as a few unreleased ones. The result is a calm and relaxing but also very playful mix which evokes feelings of cool waters dripping out through the speakers, with each new beat a colourful drop tapping on the water’s surface. Muno hopes this mix will remind his listeners to take a moment to slow down, to live simply, and to have patience. It is a call to reconsider what is truly necessary in our modern times, to think about what you want from this life, and to live in the moment, to enjoy the music and forget about everything else. We hope you enjoy this mix as much as we do! Happy listening!
