The original version of Chihiro 61298 is one of the highlights of the System 7 Phoenix album. A great collaboration with Sebastian Mullaert and Marcus Henriksson (Son Kite/Minilogue) they provide both their electronic jazzy element (Minilogue) and their deep techno-trance element (Son Kite). The Robita Bells Mix is a remix made by Steve and Miquette that is a bit more dreamy-ambient but still with the powerful pulsating beats, and has appeared as a bonus track with some versions of the album.

How this track fits into the Phoenix story?

In what is one of the darkest Phoenix stories – “Resurrection” – Osamu Tezuka works with the intriguing question that preoccupies many science-fiction writers:- can robots have a soul and if so how is that soul formed? Leon is medically reconstructed by futuristic techniques after a horrific accident but feels more in common with robots than with humans and falls deeply in love with the humble secretary robot Chihiro 61298, who he sees as a beautiful woman. Eventually the two are united as one after death, remaining in existence as the soul of the large and friendly robot Robita, who becomes one of the emblematic characters of the whole Phoenix series. This is a story of deep and dark emotions with the magical guidance of the Phoenix hovering in the background.

Closing set on the Chillout Floor of "Alice im Wummerland XII" in Mannheim. Very grateful to get a chance to play at the very birthplace of this project. The first event I visited I stumbled on this floor and was immediately intrigued by what turned out to be a "Legasthenics" performance. From that point there was no going back and my musical journey started.

This journey is dedicated to mental health awareness, manifested in track and label choice. Take care of yourself and your loved ones, lend an ear and a shoulder to those in need <3

Welcome to the next experience of my musical journey.
This time i was universally drawn deep into the mysterious ancient cultures of the pacific ocean.
After diving into study of various ancient pacific cultures such as the Hawaiians, Polynesian islanders, Maoris of New Zealand and the Aborigines of Australia, i naturally started to manifest my inner self through their cultural & tribal intentions. With energetic chants, unique musical instruments, endemic wildlife ambiences, and tribal rhythms fused into modern electronica, I welcome you to express your deepest human nature: The calm, the grateful, the ecstatic, the Wild.

Psychedelic Jelly is proud to present the first in a series of nodes to keep you entertained during lockdown! A node is a spatial object which is used to represent the connectivity between two different waterway links, just as a mix is a way of connecting different songs.

First up is the incredibly talented Ekorce, one of the most promising up and coming talents in the psybass scene! Earlier this year he released his first LP on Merkaba Music and most recently put a song on our last compilation! Here is EROT's set that he recorded for this special event.

The man behind the “Erot” project is Tore Mortensen, born and raised in the Danish town Aalborg. He was born in 1986. His passion for electronic music came from Kraftwerk, which his father introduced for him in an early age. This evolved to several different genres in electronic music, and in 2006 he was introduced to chill-out, which he immediately took a liking.

He then started to produce himself, and has now been playing at several parties and festivals in Denmark. His focus lie on the ambient atmosphere in his tracks, which he tries to keep as dark and mysterious as possible.

This has been a pretty big decision for me...

Today marks the beginning of a new music project for me: Wizardtree. The vision is a project focussed on dance floor oriented bass music. I’ve played with the idea for a while now and I feel it is the right hit way to go, or at least the idea of it didn’t leave me alone so I figured I should at least give it a go and see how it works out... while I know that I could have kept one name for everything, I wanted to remove any feelings of restraint I have towards making certain music, and I feel that having a project for dance music could help me feel free to create whatever I want within those bounds, as well as making me feel truly free as a growing and learning musician outside of that style.

Today marks that new beginning with this new release with Psychedelic Jelly.
