Amnesia - During Skopes’ Australian tour here last year, he played a show in Sydney. I didn’t actually make it to the show, but I was in the area at the time, and he contacted me asking if I’d like to work on a track with it, and being a fan of his work for a while now I, of course said ‘yes’. We worked in the studio for about three days straight to create this tune. Originally the piece started out as a neuro-funk thing, and we’d planned to make a glitch-hop/funk based tune, however at some stage in the writing process early on a dnb sequence somehow accidentally showed itself and we decided to just make a dnb tune instead, which lends itself perfectly for the final track on this album! :D

The title of the album is based on a feeling I believe all artists experience. Whenever I'm working on music (or anything for that matter) I'm always trying to chase an idea I have in my head and present it in reality where it can be observed, quantified and appreciated, only to realise that my idea or vision is too extreme or disproportionate to my skill set, leaving me constantly in a state of abandoning my art at a point where it can be classed as 'complete I guess' and settle for mediocrity.

TLDR: Art is never finished, only abandoned. We all settle for mediocrity.
