Here’s the recording from my last gig at Baby Angel. It’s the second time I experimented with prepared and spontaneous live vocals during a DJ set. Some transitions and my voice are far from flawless, but I still wanted to share it, as it is part of my current journey & I’m trying to embrace the process (fighting my inner perfectionist here :-)

Rainbow Road dials it down into hypnotic territory, layering spaced-out synths and subtle textures that pull you deeper. Finally, working on it keeps the curse going, riding a fluid percussive groove with small vocals and rolling housey stabs floating in the background.

The 276th entry comes from Muintearas boss NAOISE, who delivers a broad-spanning mix of curveballs over an hour, moving seamlessly from grime to prog, house, techno, and back again.

Dublin-based DJ and party organiser NAOISE has long had their finger firmly on the pulse of the city’s countercultural side of club life. They present a monthly show, Muintearas, on Dublin Digital Radio, while also running events under the same name. Both the radio show and the events follow no strict genre rules, instead embracing an eclectic approach that flows through bass, breaks, progressive house, and more.

Curation lies at the heart of NAOISE’s artistry. They are committed to shining a spotlight on emerging and marginalised artists, whether through DDR’s airwaves or events across venues like Tengu, Wigwam, and other DIY spaces in Dublin.

This mix embodies that wide-reaching approach, moving from heady two-step grime to bellowing, cut-throat breaks, relentless trance-tinged techno, warped prog house, and beyond. It’s a movement, a dance, flowing through various formations, unafraid to drop the energy only to build it back up. It allows listeners to tunnel into the crevices NAOISE wants to explore, a journey designed to surprise at every turn.
