I'm @bellis_annua1, a DJ and selector originally from Zaporizhzhia, now firmly rooted in Kyiv. I'm also an сo-organizer of the @hybrid-moment party series. This mix diverges slightly from my usual selections. While it still reflects my fervent love for Downtempo and somber musical tones, it introduces broken rhythms of slowed-down Electro and Breaks. Nevertheless, this music arguably captures my current inner state the most accurately. Specifically, it encapsulates that peculiar blend of emotions that surface when your entire worldview is upended. There's an undercurrent of fatigue, a determination not to surrender, a sense of pride for one's current position, and a fear of what lies ahead. It embodies both weariness and perpetual motion. The tempo may be unhurried, yet it maintains a certain rhythmic quality that injects the sound with a unique dynamism. I invite you to glimpse into my inner world through this musical journey, and I hope it resonates with you.

In 2024, Eivydas K, hailing from the underground scene of Vilnius, Lithuania, drops his debut EP on Sons Of Traders. Known for his gritty and unpolished sound, he's a member of Digital Tsunami crew and a familiar voice on Radio Vilnius with his Eternal Sunshine show. This release is a raw, unfiltered foray into techno and electro, mirroring his no-frills approach to music and life.

4 days before the russian full-scale invasion, my TRS friend and I were invited to play at the «Kick Rivne» event, local musician Mykola Lebed was our guide. We stopped at his place, walked around the city. We were interested in the Hrabnik park, old and almost completely broken, but where you get into a fairy-tale place with architectural structures, surrounded by sculptures from fairy-tales. In the center of the park an empty amphitheater with graffiti «Ahead». I found a large sculpture of a Crocodile, that gave the impression of a mighty dragon watching over us. Then we going to play at the secret place event somewhere in the industrial zone, even the artists were informed of the location only an hour before the start. But what struck me the most was that the next day we got to a party where Gabber and Riddim Dubstep were playing, and how many teenagers enthusiastically danced to this old style music, and so did I. I transferred all these impressions about the trip to music on this album.

"Take Charge And Move In" marks Clasps' debut solo release on the Mystictrax label, presenting a collection of tracks that defy categorization within any specific genre.

Clasps is an one-man electronic music project from Ukraine. His music is a mix of different genres such as techno, bass and industrial, based on strong grooves and wide sound palette. Since first stage appearance in 2016 musician changed his approach to live performance several times, right up to improvised madness. Now his live set is an exploration of dance-related music with playing along percussion.

The initial sketches were drawn as an attempt to test whether there was still room for creativity at a time when full-scale war was becoming increasingly entrenched as an integral part of the surrounding but isolated world. These attempts without a final goal recurred throughout the year, gradually taking shape through active use of sampled material — a method more convenient for a consciousness often ravaged or fixated on reevaluating values. The postponed sessions were refined after the author's decision to mobilize in September of last year.

While this work doesn't directly capture reality or consciously reflect on the unfolding events, the war's presence is subtly felt, especially through the titles chosen from pre-war notes. Notably, the EP’s title track, "Take Charge And Move In," subtly nods to "Take Charge And Move Out" (TACAMO), referencing a vital military communication system amidst the early months of the full-scale invasion, shadowed by nuclear engagement fears. Another track, "Shibboleth," a Hebrew term for a phrase that differentiates group membership, finds an echo in "паляниця," a term utilized for spotting infiltrators in unoccupied territories. This uncanny premonition underscores how terms, once casually penned down, have gained significant relevance amidst the conflict.

The visual design of the release features works from the "New Grasses" series by Kyiv-based visual artist Dima Tolkachov. This series delves into the blurred passage of time during the war and captures the quest for light amid the fragments of demolished buildings that have become a regular part of our landscape.

A limited edition package, featuring four postcards accompanying each track, is available for purchase with the release.
