Born on the edge of Generation Y to a middle-class musical family in a dull suburb of Rotterdam, Maksimilyan started making songs at a very early age. 
Virtuosic at times, but very self-opinionated, Maksimilyan reminds listeners of artists like I Have A Tribe, C.W. Stoneking and Andrew Bird. Maksimilyan touches on personal themes like growing up and love in an ever-changing rate. From dreamy waltzes to epic cacophonies, from folk to everything that has nothing to do with folk, Maksimilyan is still busy finding his own style and mark in an always growing, always widening musical landscape.
