"The Doox", a young Ukrainian band, creates music in the folk-rock, world music, styles combining the ancient Ukrainian folklore with modern electronic and rock-style tunes. Their repertoire comprises the songs from ethnological field trips and the records of traditional music from the Volyn, Rivne, Kyiv, and Poltava regions. The musicians try to combine ethnic sounds and melodies from all over the world, playing a variety of wind instruments of Ukraine and abroad. The highlight of the band's music is a fusion of male and female voices in the traditional manner of singing. The band’s live outdoors performances cause a real sensation and get across the footlight.

Band "The Doox" was formed in spring of 2014, and led by Maksym Berezhnuik, the renowned multi-instrumentalist and piper. The musicians participated in a number of popular Ukrainian festivals and recorded a demo album, which was presented in November 2014.

The band’s song «Poliubyla” (Fallen in Love) became a soundtrack for the movie "Zarady Myru” (For Peace), released in September 2014 within the competition of short films by 1 + 1 media.

Folkband “BALAMUTY” (in Ukrainian “Баламути” is plural for “Баламут”, this word has several meanings, ranging from troublemaker/disturber to a type of traditional jewelry) The band was formed in 2009 by a group of Kyiv National University for Culture and Arts students doing Musical Folklore studies.
They started by performing traditional Ukrainian music in the top Kyiv restaurants... Later on they participated in various local and international folklore festivals, events, concerts, as well as, informal, unplanned and unexpected street performances - just for the sake of fun. The band grew to include several professional musicians, which were keen on traditional music. So far they have visited with performances: Lithuania, Switzerland and Poland.
The band performs traditional music predominantly from Western, Northern and Central Ukraine, they also conduct: traditional musical instruments, traditional Ukrainian dance and folk crafts master classes.

He is a performer on traditional Ukrainian Wind instruments. In Maksym’s collection there are more than 100 Ukrainian traditional and World wind instruments, and he masterfully plays on them. Among them – many kinds of sopilka, ocarina, telynka, Pan flute, trembita, drymba, kaval, floyara, dudka-vykrutka, frilka, harpa horn, koza (Ukrainian bagpipe), rauschpfeife, sackpipa, galician gaita, tin whistle, duda, travers, chalemie, duduk, zurna, ney and other 
He was a participant and winner of many Ukrainian and international competitions and festivals. With solo performances on wind instruments Maksym visited many cities in Ukraine as well as abroad (Russia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Sweden, Germany, France)
Maksym experiments with different alternative genres in music and combines folk wind instruments in rock and electronic music
