Stockholm native Viggo Dyst joins Shall Not Fade’s roster for their new Classic Cuts series, serving up ear candy and sparkling sounds on Everything Else Is Secondary EP. Fresh from a successful release with Swedish label Vivrant, he is also joined by stalwarts of the scene Baltra and 1800-GIRLS for two gorgeous reworks.

The title track is a breathless, hopeful opener that overflows with feel good energy, sunshine melodies and personality.

Premiere: Kassian 'Breathe'

Following their debut on the imprint earlier this year, Kassian step up for a second outing on Shall Not Fade, this time via the Basement series. Their return to the label takes a deeper, heavier direction than their previous releases, more suited to a warehouse over an intimate club setting.   As Kassian have continuously pushed their sound forwards, they've gained recent accolades such as contributing to BICEP’s Feel My Bicep mix series, playing Mixmag’s LAB London live and notable coverage from DJ Mag and more in the last year alone.  Their latest EP 'Breathe' is perfectly placed for the long awaited return to nightlife. The A1 delivers what a true A1 should, a peak time driving track with undeniable energy. “Aerial” pulls back the pace slightly, it’s a deep and rolling effort with a classic trance influence. Rounding off the EP is “London Orbital”, clearly inspired by the sounds of London that the duo are so familiar with, the track switches up the pace and presents a breaks focussed sound.  Breathe EP drops August 27th via Shall Not Fade.

The ever-popular Laurence Guy chalks up his fourth vinyl release on Bristol’s Shall Not Fade, sharing four tracks which span the breadth of his production skill. After a year which started with the stunning Mutual Excitement is a Wonderful Thing, and saw Guy collaborate with rising artists like Dermot Kennedy, it is a delight to see him return to the label which has become something of a home for him. 

Your Good Times Are Here EP’s title track is a reprise to the sun-soaked filter house of 2020’s ‘Your Good Times Will Come’, leaning on the club sound palette harder than its forebear and making subtle explorations into acid grooves. ‘I Know You Feel Sad’ strikes a contrast, its slowly stuttering rhythm and vocals stuck on repeat giving a sombre sense of reflection - the party vibes quickly returning for ‘Yeh Good, You?’, a pacey 303 number which pauses just enough for a distorted, breathless breakdown. Making reference to the outing on Shall Not Fade from early 2021, ‘Mutual Disappointment is a Terrible Thing’ closes the record on lingering piano melodies and eerie vocals - a delicate reflection upon its sister track.

Aurore 404 is welcoming French artist Soufflé Caramel for an EP of jazzy house music cooked during lockdown. The EP “Club de Jazz“ has been composed with his drum machines, synths, and the help of musician friends (pianist, saxophonist, trumpetist), whose performances are heard all throughout the EP. Through his music, Soufflé Caramel is taking us to a New York jazz club in the mid 1960’s and the loungey, airy atmosphere of the EP sets the scene for a record full of smooth-jazz vibes with a soaring affection for the deeper side of things.
