Thomas Piguet AKA Don Malastas started playing piano at 6, switched to drums at 12 and finally saxophone at 16, which he still plays today along with keyboards.

He began serious Drum & Bass mix & production in 2007 with Andy, a friend from High School who had made him discover Reggae Drum'n'bass, under the name "Steppin' Spreaders". They had the chance to organize the last D'n'B parties in K-Bar, Artamis. But Music was not Andy's life unlike Malastas and they finally split up in 2008.

At this time, he meets Autopath and collaborates until 2011, starting in 2009 in an ex bomb shelter what would become UBIK Studio today. Together they experiment new styles through electro, swing, d'n'b, reggae, hip hop, mashing up every kind with another and using a lot of controllers.

In 2011, they split up and Malastas focus on his first love, reggae, dub, drum'n'bass and especially the melting of the three. He first invites Jah'mean to the studio, then Goldy and Pupa Kulcha, all mixing Roots / Dub for several years. Since then, UBIK Studio became a real musical breeding ground, with a will to keep an analog vibe. Cumulating the projects and the featuring, building its own sound system and soon to become a label, they all share consciousness and love for music.
