Excerpts from Malcolm Glossery's acclaimed album, 'Butterfly Cakes & Verse'.

Just Like Emily Bunton

I was born in a cloud of stardust, shrouded in an aura of beautiful glory. The second I was born, I composed my first masterpiece “has any one seen my hat”, and from that day I have only got better and better. I surprise myself at my greatness and unbridled awe. I am an unquantifiable force of nature, I have inspired many people, including the best martial artists to Maharishis and modern man in general (though had I been born in the distant past I am sure I would have found avid fans and followers then too). 
When I was 15, I found I had an unbelievable talent for music, I was able to play absolutely everything, this lead me to become a singer/songwriter/musician/arranger/producer/agent and I even draw my own album covers – I always make sure I do a cheeky self-portrait to get the girls going, make them dreamy eyed etc.
 The NME was a bit like my Bible; I cut out pictures of my idols such as Shania Twain and other really cheesy artists and stuck them on my bedroom wall. Though I suspected at the time that I was destined for much greater things than those people…..turns out I was right! 
I now find myself on a mission to immortalise myself, I have drawn and painted over 437 images of myself, this is the only way I can appease my self adoration, I have made 2 highly ACCLAIMED and chart topping albums (well the charts in my mind anyway) which are destined to go down in history! I have made an enthralling Rockumentary about myself, detailing many great facts about me…..such as a list of all the esteemed venues which have been lucky enough for me to play at….ahh, I remember the world famous Brierly Community centre event of 1982, legendry performance by me – anyway, back to the point (see how easy it is to be distracted by my greatness!).So if you are reading this from the future you will be so grateful that I have left such wondrous detail behind for your delectation and learning. 
I know that you will be memorised by the track I have uploaded onto Sound Cloud, my music sends many people into a trance – I open their eyes to another world, they gaze into the middle distance, usually they are so deep in the trance they are unable to clap or show appreciation by the time I have finished my song. Don’t worry, if you find yourself falling under my spell you can visit my facebook page where you can try and express (though I usually render people speechless) how great you think I am, who knows….I may even respond! 
Here’s to all you at the back, I love you just as much as those at the front! – Meet you on the bandstand (where incidentally there is bench with my name engraved on - Derbyshire council and the Tourist department, owe me one BIG TIME)
