To celebrate the year that was 2014 I am giving away a special remix. I guess Pachakuti was my first ever exposure to Andean music - when I was about 8 years old the group came to do a workshop in my primary school. As it was a bit of something special in my little town in the north of England, we bought the CD. This week I found it just this same gem gathering dust at my parents house and decided to give it a 21st century edit.

Kraut is the new moniker of Amsterdam’s household name Daniel Zuur. With this new alter ego he’s bound to bring his audience a flux of world music influenced electronica, different tempo’s and lots of live percussion.
Daniel has been a staple in the Amsterdam club scene since 2009. His unique sound and organic mixes have earned him a name in the alternative electronic music scene, as his sets have been attributed to being melancholic, dynamic but above all, deeply melodic.
Kraut has continued producing and played live at national clubs and festivals such as: Transformatorhuis, Warehouse Elementenstraat, OT301 and Valrave Festival.

Maracuyá (@maracuyacita) is a French globetrotter who was born in Dominican Republic and has lived in 6 countries, take note of it: Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Vanuatu, Australia and currently based on Costa Rica. She's also co-founder of Random Collective @randomcollectivecr), promoting cultural activities in open-minded events along São Jose.

As this 43th edition comes you'll notice her exotic-selection full of dreamy sounds, from this era or older. El Búho is a UK producer now based Mexico City whose music draws the lines between electronic production, found sounds & organic samples and Latin American rhythms and folklore. He has released music on ZZK Records, Antartek Records and his latest EP Cenotes through Wonderwheel recordings and remixed for the likes of Chancha Via Circuito, Nicola Cruz, Tremor, Luzmila Carpio, Lucas Santana and Lulacruza amongst others

As well as curating the album A Guide to the Birdsong of South America he is also one of the co-founders of the Shika Shika with Argentine producer Barrio Lindo. He is currently working on his first LP.

This mix is 40 minutes of unreleased material, edits, remixes and music made specifically for Voodoohop!
