#BeatsMeetsBars is a fun new way to meet new like minded people. Combining talent and creativity to produce exclusive new sounds, a network of producers will come together to make instrumentals each adding their own unique touch. Once complete the beat will be released for artists to download a copy and spit a verse. 
At the end of every fortnight the producers will go through all the entries and pick out their top 3 as well as selecting a favorite. Those selected get sent to Jay Chene and TBA for live reviews with interviews being awarded to those who stand out. The selected favorite will receive an award graphic tagged to their wall with their link so their friends and family can see how well they are doing. All entries will be posted to a playlist on soundcloud on an exclusive Beats Meets Bars channel. Rippin Rhymes will also select his very own top 3 verses to make one complete song. it will then be offered out to singers to record a chorus and again offered out to those who play guitars, pianos and other instruments to add even more unique sounds. At the end of every year the completed songs by Rippin Rhymes will be put into a Rippin Rhymes Beats Meets Bars mixtape which will feature various different hosts. GTM Magazine will also be involved with a write up segment on the show and to keep their readers up to date with the Beats meets Bars project and any new networking opportunities that are coming up. 
Finally over seeing this project will be CPO Boss Hogg who will be checking in from time to time to listen to some of the recordings, offer advice and feedback as well as sharing some of his industry experiences with new artists. This unique networking opportunity created by Mrs Rhymes of Rippin Rhymes and I am excited to see just what this could turn into. . Monster Magnet is one of my favorite bands ever.

I recently found my "Powertrip" CD and could not get this song out of my head.
Maybe it is because of the times we live in and the lyric "I turned on my TV and somebody blew up".  Whatever it is/was I got inspired and created this slower, doomier version for your listening pleasure.

It was also an experiment in not using any drums at all, like the original.

EVIL EYES

Solo project using GarageBand on an iPhone 6 plus. 

I use a Schecter Electric Guitar with an iRig mobile, and a pair of iPhone stock headphones to record vocals.  Some tracks use an acoustic guitar miked with the iPhone headphones.  Many tracks are recorded in a pickup truck.  I have used hand tools as percussion instruments and I have been known to record vocals while driving. 

For the most part these are recorded in one take per instrument - lyrics are only written down AFTER the song is "done".  The lyrics are fantastical and improvised, often recorded in a car.  This is rock and roll fantasy escapism for me. 

I used to play drums in several bands but have always messed around with any instrument I can get my hands on.  No formal training in any of this.

So enjoy! Don't take them too seriously, and use your imagination!
