Askel & Elere AKA Juho Kavasto and Sainey Gibba have been busy bees lately, with their ‘Local Support’ EP landing in June serving as the latest reminder of their seriously slick sonic skills. They’ve turned their hands to Circumference’s ‘Pyramid’ as their contributions to the ‘10 Years of Soulvent: The Remixes LP’ and it was certainly worth the wait! The original is taken from Circumference’s stand-out debut EP ‘Breathe’ released back in 2021, with the title track sitting at close to 2 million streams. 

‘Pyramid (Askel & Elere Remix)’ kicks off with some monumental atmospheres that will make you think you're staring up from the base of Tutankhamun's house. The drop ushers in extra levels of bassweight, including all manner of distorted growls, swells and towering tones. Askel & Elere’s trademark “sci-fi liquid” sound palette is unmistakably clean & crisp, and perfectly complements the epic, sonic sharpness of the original. With the drums perfectly parting the sea of swelling sub bass, Rick O Connell and Imhotep would be proud of this isometric powerhouse of a remix.
