DJ/Producer Dimuth K was quick to establish himself as a favourite in Sri Lanka's Electronic Music circuit, and has been at the forefront of inspiring a new generation of electronic music producers on the island.

Having played alongside the likes of Nick Warren, Jeremy Olander, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Brian Cid, and Cid Inc, and with numerous releases on labels such as Sudbeat, Hope Recordings, Parquet, and Plattenbank, Dimuth K is known for his unique blend of emotionally uplifting House/Techno/Progressive grooves.

Lucky for us here in Canada, Dimuth K has relocated to Toronto. (He has even been seen larking about, live-streaming with our good friend, Tim Penner!).

I'm thrilled to present the first mix in a new series where I dive deep into the sounds of a single artist per set. For this mix, I've curated an immersive experience featuring only the track IDs from NOIYSE PROJECT, one of Sri Lanka's most promising young talents in the progressive house scene. His signature style combines hypnotic melodies, deep grooves, and a forward-thinking approach to production that takes listeners on a journey from start to finish.

About Kryptone:

Kryptone is a Sri Lankan DJ, producer, and curator whose impact on Colombo’s underground music scene runs deep. Known for his hypnotic blend of progressive and organic house, he’s not only made a name for himself as an artist but has become a vital force behind the growth of electronic music culture in the region.

With a sound rooted in emotional depth and hypnotic groove, Kryptone first broke through with his debut EP on Emotional Content Recordings in 2020. Since then, his productions have found homes on respected imprints such as Mango Alley, Manual Music, RYNTH, 3rd Avenue, The Purr, and Stellar Black, earning him recognition from the progressive community worldwide.

But Kryptone's vision goes far beyond the booth. He is the co-founder of Time After Time, a multifaceted platform encompassing a record label, artist management agency, and event brand. Through Time After Time, he has helped shape a roster of Sri Lankan talent including Echo Daft, Jayy Vibes, Chiruka, and Oriente, pushing the local sound into international circles. The brand also curates standout events like Boho Fest and InCircles, bringing both global and homegrown acts to the stage.

His collaborative project YEDIKULE with Echo Daft takes a more spiritual route, exploring the ancient, ritualistic bonds between music and transcendence. The project aims to channel the energy of Sanskrit mantras, field recordings, and ancestral rhythms into contemporary electronic forms.

Kryptone also co-runs Not Like Us Records, an international label and booking agency committed to promoting forward-thinking sounds within the progressive and organic house space. Not Like Us strives to empower its artists with fair and transparent models, ensuring the focus stays on creativity and community.

At the core of it all, Kryptone is a connector- an artist dedicated to cultivating experiences that move both body and spirit. His role as a producer, DJ, promoter, label boss, and artistic guide reflects his mission to push boundaries while staying true to the spirit of underground music.

The most accomplished Dj's are always mindful of the atmosphere surrounding them, the ability to sense the anticipation and vibe of their audience. 

The trait of these gifted one’s is that they effortlessly paint a masterpiece every night with energy and in synergy with their audience. 

Using decks, samplers, volume control and what not’s as instruments, and spectrum frequencies as color, these artists go along and ride the deep, dark, melodic frequency palette much like a surfer riding the waves of the ocean.

With touring musicians for parents, an early introduction to the nightlife and its venues to label as his personal playground, DJ/Producer Subandrio is one who has been blessed as one of its most versatile and knowledgeable pioneers in the underground global music scene. 

Since 1996, his work has put his career on a slow and steady ascent. Along the way, Subandrio has gained years of experience, winning accolades along the way and unrivalled musical diversity as both a producer, remixer and a performer. 

This alone has earned him respect among techno and house legends, purists, and contemporary DJs. He now performs regularly around the world at some of the most reputable clubs and festivals along with some dodgy, sleazy warehouses and beach parties in-between.
