The next release, scheduled for 25 October 2024, is the new single Stellar Rise of Malis Pastell, swiss producer from Luzern, in the swiss german part of Switzerland. 

A multifaceted artist, he expresses his emotions through graphic art and collage under the name Line Four, and under the pseudonym Malis Pastell for his musical creations.

Three remixes complete this autumn release cruising from Switzterland with Aston Alba and Titoffee, Colombia with Cucupiper and Somalia with the beautiful poesy of Hibotep. 

A single bonus track from Malis Pastelll as well accompany this forthcoming EP.

Pour l’épisode 34, je suis ravi d’accueillir Malis Pastell, un artiste enraciné dans l’univers musical depuis plus de 25 ans. Sa passion a vu le jour à la fin des années 90, lorsqu’il a découvert le Hip-Hop et le Rap. Avec deux magnétophones et un sampler MPC 2000, il explorait les vinyles pour façonner des beats empreints de soul et de créativité.

Aujourd’hui, son art a évolué vers des productions électroniques tout en conservant un groove chaleureux et organique. Les compositions de Malis oscillent entre des rythmes downtempo entraînants et des paysages sonores expansifs, presque cosmiques. Inspiré par des artistes comme Simon Green, alias Bonobo, il reste fidèle à son approche : prendre le temps nécessaire pour offrir une musique sincère et intemporelle.

Into The Woods #34 /\ Guest: Malis Pastell

The next release, scheduled for December 12, 2024, is the EP Sentir Bonito, born from a collaboration between Paula Garcés, a Colombian techno DJ, actress, and singer based in Bogotá, and the Swiss producers Titoffee and Aston Alba, both from the Valais region.

The song speaks about feeling good and protected in the arms of someone you love, wrapped in harmony.

Four remixes complete this winter release, featuring the mystic electronica of Leeu from South Africa, the deep house sounds of French producer Max TenRom, and the Latin bass from DJ Raff in Chile, Atarrayo in Colombia, and Aüka in Argentina.

Malis Pastell has been rooted in the music world for over 25 years. His musical journey began in the late 90s when he discovered his love for Hip-Hop and Rap. Armed with two tape decks and the legendary MPC 2000 sampler, he dug through records searching for sounds, crafting passionate beats imbued with soul from the very start. Today, just like back then, Malis Pastell takes the time he needs for his art – his releases don't follow the rhythm of the times but come when they are ready. While his productions have become more electronic, the warm, organic groove remains the heart of his sound. His tracks range from driving downtempo rhythms to sonic spheres that unfold in boundless, cosmic expanses. If Malis Pastell had to name one person who has influenced him artistically, it would undoubtedly be Simon Green, aka Bonobo.
