Merge EP captures the moment when everything blurs: noise, silence, distance, presence. It’s what remains when everything melts into a single vibration.

Built around dense textures, evolving rhythms and subtle contrasts, the release reflects Asper’s ongoing exploration of immersive and introspective soundscapes.

Andrey Sirotkin is a Kyiv-based DJ and electronic music producer known for his signature mixture of acid and techno. As the founder of Vyrii Records – a label focused on deep, underground sounds and forward-thinking club music – Andrey has built a sound that’s both raw and detailed, balancing energy and emotion. His releases on labels like Systematic Recordings, Brique Rouge, RZ Muzik, THISBE, Opilec, and Diffuse Reality have earned him recognition for a distinctive approach to production and a strong connection to the dance floor.

For his debut on Regulardisco, Andrey prepared a collection of tracks that equally shows his recognizable emotional sound while also bringing it closer to the label’s sound. It’s a deep adventure across complex emotions about human nature orchestrated with screaming acid basslines and crying synthesizers, with a bright hopeful feeling hidden in each track.

Stefan Schwander aka Harmonious Thelonious is definitely not a newcomer. He has been around for a long time and has already released lots of amazingly varied music on labels such as Emotional Response, Italic, Meakusma and Diskant. He’s also an integral part of the infamous Duesseldorf / Salon Des Amateurs axis that is an obvious hotbed of talent. He describes his style as "American minimalism vs. African drumming vs. European sequencing", a heady mixture which is clearly evident on this EP though with a definite Middle Eastern twist. At Versatile HQ they were introduced to this clutch of tracks by one of the members of Acid Arab and were totally blown away. Stefan has a very unique production style, fusing all of the above elements with a hint of Gamelan, a dash of tweaked FM synthesis type sounds with a dose of warm ambience and finally his own singular touch on the mix. Here premiered is the b1 "Defender", our fave cut of this delightful four tracker. revisiting some of the A-side sound palette, but catapulting those cosmic tones into a realm of amphetamine fuelled intensity - peaktime drummy psychedelia for any and all dance floors. Nuno Dos Santos’ Something Happening Somewhere shares its first release of 2019, as the label welcomes the recently unknown entity Joannes to the family. A powerful drum machine driven bundle that provides the soundtrack for this personal journey from Joannes, including remixes by Nadia Struiwigh and Melatonin Man.

Our weapon of choice comes courtesy of Melatonin Man aka Tammo Hesselink. As a resident of De School and Nous’Klaer Audio, Melatonin Man takes on the EP’s title track and strips Joannes’ effort into a down-tempo electro affair with chugging rhythms and tribal accents.

Premiere: Joannes - Got Needs (Melatonin Man Remix) [Something Happening Somewhere]

Expert Bouncers signals the return of Stevie R to his imprint Inside Out Records, working with longtime collaborator and modular synthesis expert TAOMA. The EP starts off with Orbit carrot, a high-energy, left-field disco track with modular experiments, heavily destroyed vocal samples and a sense of musical freedom balanced with maturity that is characteristic of Stevie R’s recent releases. No-holding back remixes by “Intergalactic house” legend Man Power and peak-time expert Freudenthal complete the first part of this EP. Sequential biscuits is a wonky collection of modular acid lines produced in the studio during a late night jam, and re-worked in a slow, percussion based dub by Parisinos.
