The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Emi Galvan for his first appearance. Argentinean DJ and producer Emi Galvin has consistently defied expectations throughout his much-lauded decade-long career. Through the success of early tracks like 2016's ‘Taking Over’ and ‘Universe’, the Buenos Aires resident emerged into one of the progressive scene’s most promising talents. A rich musical background with time spent in rock bands playing guitar and singing gave Emi’s electronic compositions a measurable creative edge. This elusive sound did not go unnoticed as he quickly earned the praise of genre tastemakers Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren; while landing career defining releases via Balance, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden. Also an accomplished DJ, Emi’s long undulating sets have been applauded for their impeccable track selection and exquisite programming. As one of Argentina’s most in demand DJs, Emi has travelled the world, delighting crowds in Egypt, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Spain and more. A recent highlight in the Argentine’s sets has been his unofficial remix of Massive Attack’s ‘Girl I Love You.’ Released in 2010 as part of the band’s ‘Heligoland’ album, the song would go on to become one of the LP’s most recognizable tracks, racking up more than ten million plays on Spotify in the process. Emi’s version has seen considerable live play in recent months, with Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sebastien Leger and more all airing the remix across their sets. About Dave:

Originating from Sheffield, UK, Dave Lazenby has been passionate about music since childhood, once known as the kid sharing mix tapes with everyone around him. Influenced by iconic clubs like Gatecrasher and Back to Basics, he developed a deep connection to house and progressive sounds. After a long hiatus, he returned to the decks during lockdown and hasn’t looked back, playing across the UK alongside names like Dave Seaman, Quivver, and Steve Parry, and even in Ibiza at Es Paradis and Ibiza Rocks Bar. In 2022, he co-founded Another Life, Sheffield’s progressive house night, hosting artists such as Anthony Pappa, Danny Howells, and Aubrey Fry. As a producer, his releases with Jon Towell include The Face and Underground, with Steelyard coming soon. His sets range from deep, hypnotic warmups to dark, driving closers that capture the true energy of the night.
