Collaboration with NGC 3019.  This was our submission to the Benn Jordan Discord July 2021 monthly music writing challenge.

Moonstalgia (feat NGC 3019)

This track was made for a song writing challenge (Sim Selections). It tries to tell a 3 part story of launching into space. It starts with 4 minutes of anxious anticipation, followed by 4 minutes of the launch, and finally, there is 4 minutes of transition into space.

The title is a reference to a poem (High Flight by John Gillespie Magee), made famous because Ronald Reagan quoted it in a speech following the explosion of the Challenger space shuttle. He said: 
“We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them — this morning, as they prepared for their journey, and waved goodbye, and 'slipped the surly bonds of earth' to 'touch the face of God. ' “
