Malte Ebert was signed to Universal Music Denmark in May 2016 and changed the traditional way of releasing singles permanently. Spending the first portion of his career obscuring his identity as Gulddreng (Golden Boy), Ebert became the biggest streaming sensation to come out of Denmark in less than two years. Gulddreng was an alter ego character, more or less in disguise and by the end of 2017, he had accumulated over 140,000,000 streams, as well as hundreds of thousands of social media fans. In February 2018, he officially terminated his time as Gulddreng, and began to release music simply as Malte Ebert. His latest release was a feature on the Martin Jensen track, ‘I Could Get Used To This’. A collab, which ensured his monthly listeners on Spoitfy taking yet another bump, now reaching 1.2 million. On Friday June 26th 2020 Malte will be releasing, what will be become the first step in the next chapter of his career. 'Gravity' is produced by William Asighn, also known as the artist Vera.
