here I am searching for truth, unconstructing the space in which I am cooped, 
shimmering synthesizers on a loop drowning out the noisy neighbors on the roof of this room.
mind expansion enabled, excavating the deepest places of my brain, often unstable. 
leaking lost memories, treasured energy and bad dreams,
discovering reasons as to why i’m hurting and what being sad means. 

 I watch the sky turn black and I contemplate the breeze off the east coast,
remembering the things that I love most, seashells, sunsets and my loved ones seated close 
times like those don’t come often enough so i put those memories in a chest and I lock them all up
because I am terrified of forgetting the most meaningful times of my existence
what’s the point if there’s nothing to enjoy during reminiscence 

 youth is wasted on the young because I was wasted when I was young,
 i sketched in a slump and I wrote poetry that glowed to me ; 
posted up on the oakiest tree, peering from the outside wondering how to get people closer to me.
perhaps I was meant to be on the outskirts, an art crazed introvert displaying creative expression like clockwork.
combining philosophies and creativity to an extent that teachers couldnt grade me,
failing every class but imagination is where I would always find myself able to succeed. 

may I be of value to the grander scheme, 
sprinkle my stardust into the starstreams,   
i wonder how it feels to fade into the void, 
the final voice is your own following you until the rest of you is destroyed.  
deploy me on an interstellar astroid, 
let me travel time and space, let me find a place where the universe and I can finally rejoice.
