In the midst of global turmoil as Mauritius was locked down, on the 12th of April 2020, produced as part of MAMA JAZ's 5th Edition Program, GINA & BELINGO (Mauritius) released an Extraordinary Session.

As the session aired on two national radio channels and on internet, over 500,000 humans based in Mauritius would feel the positive frequencies emitted.

A message of the festival at the time:
''MAMA JAZ is grateful for the support given by all artists, followers, audience members, partners and its staff in encouraging the achievement of this adapted format of the month long festival. We are happy that we managed to not only exist online but reach out to the minds of more humans than we could ever imagine; the scope is to spread positive energy and though MAMA JAZ does what it can, it is very much up to to everyone to keep on or start standing optimistically as celebration of life must prevail.''

A message of the artists' at the time:
Gina & Belingo wish to convey that what they perform is not to be limited to any categorisation as Art is wide and abstract, music being a recognisable form they practice and jazz merely a word beyond which they exist. Now, deeper, the reason why they perform is because in their humble opinion Music has the mission to enlighten humankind.

Eric Triton wishes to convey that he is very happy to have been part of such a resilient initiative and is grateful to Gavin Poonoosamy for his ongoing mission to push Mauritian music as much as celebration of music through so passionately, Jorez Box for its dedication to his management, to Master of Musical Wisdom Philippe Thomas, to Steve Laridain for the sound takes and hospitality; He further wants the Mauritian population celebrate Mauritian identity as a whole, together, and be strong, keep heads high and never fail to support each other with love.
