Having been involved with Regal's Irish debut back in 2016, five years later we see the producer thriving in the dance scene, with countless releases, his own label, remixes, club shows and festival appearances, to now releasing his debut album.

Regal’s genre-bending sound has been capturing the hearts and minds of ravers and industry heads since 2012. His staunch productions have garnered support from techno’s well-established vanguard, including noted collaborations, projects and remixes with Amelie Lens, Hadone, Nina Kraviz, Ellen Allien, Emmanuel Top and Len Faki. Regal’s sound graces clubland with full-throttle impact – whether at the legendary Berghain, Awakenings, Possession or his residency at Khidi in Tibilisi. Alongside his own productions, Regal’s imprint Involve has become established for delivering sharpened 303 infused acid sounds. The imprint has welcomed artists including Boston 168, FJAAK and Alignment and is now also the home for his debut album this June.

“The concept has changed a few times over the past few years” says Regal. The focus was to make an album that tells the story of his personal struggles and self-discovery, a dark insight into the DJ’s life, influenced mainly by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’, where Dante has to cross all the layers of hell and purgatory to arrive in paradise.

Nevertheless, the label has become synonymous with Quality and Consistency with a wide range of timeless sounds from Techno, House, Dub Techno, Electro, championing some of the most respected names in the scene and pushing the youth and putting this same Youth at the very top of the Chain, the label Philosophy keeps rotating on a different level of Orbits trying to reach always the best result and never be influenced by anything in the Scene.

The Box is a meticulous work of One entire Year, every artist of the 20 selected delivered something that connects deeply with the label and the reason why they are part of it. 
The study goes beyond when Artists get different colors of palettes and a different surface to paint, their known soundscapes comes with something freer than the usual approach that they did in their singles. Stuttgart’s David Löhlein has been involved in electronic music for a number of years and launched his Vision Ekstase event in his hometown of Stuttgart before providing the inaugural release on the newly formed label which picked up support from the likes of Ben Sims, Luke Slater, Efdemin and many more established names within the techno world. David now invites remixes from Mote-Evolver artist Rene Wise, Planet Rhythm producer VIL and Vision Ekstase residents Rove Ranger and Fabian Wegmeth.
Rene Wise’s remix of ‘Altai’ is a rolling techno shaker featuring revolving percussion, shimmering bass grooves and the hypnotic vocal from the original floating above before Rove Ranger’s Gothic remix deploys sharp hitting drums, fierce modulated tones and haunting leads underneath.
On the flip, VIL’s ‘Red Code’ remix makes way for vibrant, clap-heavy rhythms, driving modulations and resounding frequencies keeping the energy flowing while Fabian Wegmeth’s remix rounds things off with industrial sounding sonics peppered with machine-like synth whirls, menacing oscillations and shrieking soundscapes throughout.
