Gezender’s fourth EP, presents 4 sound pieces: Starting with “Cuerpo”, a track without vocals focused on movement. Followed by “Corpo Fechado”, with the participation of Linn da Quebrada, is the densest of the work. The following tracks, "War" and "Ambient War", feature Bruno Mendonça and bring a more intimate and contemplative atmosphere. Corpo can be thought of as the first step to other actions and experiments.
The philosophical concept of Atopy is linked to the idea of absurdity. Later on, it gained new meanings as notions of “non-place”, “unclassifiable” or “unnameable”. The term points to a quality of experience that would be precisely in the difficulty of answers, on the problematic of mythological and romantic projections and also in the failure of objectification. And it is this universe that the artist and music producer Gezender presents in his new work, the Corpo EP, released on May 14 by MambaREC.

Featuring Linn da Quebrada and Bruno Mendonça, Gezender takes a chance of bringing together different artists who, each in their own way, have worked on the unraveling of language in their productions. In the musical field, Linn relates this to issues of race, gender, and class. Bruno Mendonça has been proposing this in the scope of contemporary literature and art, addressing themes such as pink money and viruses.

“Corpo is an EP that was born during this pandemic period, where I had the chance to look more at myself and understand the body as a whole, its own rhythm, needs, hormones, pleasures, and fragilities. There is a mixture of feelings very characteristic of the moment we are going through, sometimes contemplative, sometimes full of conflicts. I tried to extract the beauty of these antagonistic emotions, without forgetting the dystopian feeling that permeates the present, between peace and anguish, but with some breath that makes me someone on the path to healing and comprehension" explains Gezender.

El Digitalazo, ese compilado que nació como una muestra de la nueva música electrónica cordobesa, ahora resurge como sello discográfico.

Damos inicio a este nuevo espacio con “Pintó Mambo”, el nuevo EP del productor cordobés Rayador, quien se anima a jugar con dos mundos tan distantes como el techno y el cuarteto. Acordeones y pianos marcando el clásico “tunga tunga” cordobés, los saxos mamberos y sintetizadores punzantes. Pistas pensadas para cuartetear el club.

Rayador pasó parte de su tiempo bajo las sombras experimentando con cumbias hasta que en 2015 lanza "El Sabroso EP", el primer acercamiento al cuarteto. Hoy, ya con varios años de investigación en el campo sonoro cuartetero, publica este disco impulsado por la rabia que generan estas nuevas épocas del individualismo neoliberal y la necesidad de expresarlo en el campo frenético del baile.

El Digitalazo, born as a showcase of the new electronic music scene in Córdoba, now resurfaces as a record label.

We kick off this new venture with "Pintó Mambo," the new EP from Cordoba-based producer Rayador, who ventures to blend two worlds as distant as techno and cuarteto. Accordions and pianos marking the classic "tunga tunga" of Córdoba, mambo saxophones, and sharp synthesizers. Tracks designed to make the club dance to cuarteto rhythms.

Rayador spent some time in the shadows experimenting with cumbias until in 2015 he released "El Sabroso EP," his first approach to cuarteto. Today, after several years of research in the cuarteto sound field, he releases this album driven by the anger generated by these new epochs of neoliberal individualism and the need to express it in the frenetic realm of dance.

Consolidated as a live production space, with dj sets, live jams, psychedelia, maracatu and post-tropicalisms with eletronic beats. 

Mamba Negra is a deep aestethic experience surrounded by an multi-language enviroment, wrapped on a mesh of hand-made work, such as cenography elements, graphic material, live vjiyng, ready made serygraphic t-shirts, trash tattoo, performatic outfit  and urban intervention.
