Gezender’s fourth EP, presents 4 sound pieces: Starting with “Cuerpo”, a track without vocals focused on movement. Followed by “Corpo Fechado”, with the participation of Linn da Quebrada, is the densest of the work. The following tracks, "War" and "Ambient War", feature Bruno Mendonça and bring a more intimate and contemplative atmosphere. Corpo can be thought of as the first step to other actions and experiments.
The philosophical concept of Atopy is linked to the idea of absurdity. Later on, it gained new meanings as notions of “non-place”, “unclassifiable” or “unnameable”. The term points to a quality of experience that would be precisely in the difficulty of answers, on the problematic of mythological and romantic projections and also in the failure of objectification. And it is this universe that the artist and music producer Gezender presents in his new work, the Corpo EP, released on May 14 by MambaREC.

Featuring Linn da Quebrada and Bruno Mendonça, Gezender takes a chance of bringing together different artists who, each in their own way, have worked on the unraveling of language in their productions. In the musical field, Linn relates this to issues of race, gender, and class. Bruno Mendonça has been proposing this in the scope of contemporary literature and art, addressing themes such as pink money and viruses.

“Corpo is an EP that was born during this pandemic period, where I had the chance to look more at myself and understand the body as a whole, its own rhythm, needs, hormones, pleasures, and fragilities. There is a mixture of feelings very characteristic of the moment we are going through, sometimes contemplative, sometimes full of conflicts. I tried to extract the beauty of these antagonistic emotions, without forgetting the dystopian feeling that permeates the present, between peace and anguish, but with some breath that makes me someone on the path to healing and comprehension" explains Gezender.

TRYPAS CORASSÃO LANÇA ÁLBUM DE ESTREIA
'Beleza Como Vingança', lançado pelas as labels Mamba Rec e Naïve, estará disponível nas principais plataformas de streaming a partir do dia 10 de junho de 2022.
O duo TRYPAS CORASSÃO, formado pelas artistas brasileiras Tita Maravilha e Cigarra, lança dia 10/06 seu álbum de estreia, 'Beleza Como Vingança'. O disco tem nove tracks, e uma edição em vinil e será disponibilizado em todas as plataformas de streaming. O primeiro videoclipe do álbum, para a faixa Lusho, Elegância & Sofisticação, tem direção de Francisca Marvão e está previsto para lançamento neste verão.
Beleza como Vingança, conceitualmente, é uma insurgência sonora e estética contra as regras que definem o que é belo - na música, na arte, nas ruas e nas corpas. Uma obra que costura diferentes belezas e estranhezas não hegemônicas, e assim reinterpreta essas duas palavras: belo e estranho. "Pensamos agora numa beleza possível, acessível e subversiva", resume Tita. O álbum foi financiado com o prêmio do concurso PULSAR - Mulheres da Música Eletrônica em Portugal, que a dupla ganhou em 2019.
Ainda que ocupe um lugar híbrido entre a música e performance, TRYPAS CORASSÃO apresenta Beleza Como Vingança para consolidar seu lugar na cena musical de Portugal - e também no contexto da música queer experimental do Sul global.
O hibridismo, aliás, é um dispositivo central na proposta artística do álbum, que faz cruzamentos entre samples de músicas pop dos anos 90, funk e brega, beats pesados, glitchs, da "batidinha house chic" (como define Tita) às influências da cultura tradicional brasileira que atravessam as duas artistas.
"O Brasil tem versão brasileira de várias músicas famosas no mundo, que ganham outra letra, outra melodia. O álbum brinca muito com essa ideia de 'versão brasileira', de pegar uma coisa e ressignificar, mas de um jeito glitch, experimental, misturando trechinhos de várias referências ao mesmo tempo. Você ouve um sample e, quando reconhece, naquela hora do 'peraí, eu já ouvi isso antes' a música já virou outra coisa", descreve Cigarra. A última track do álbum é um Megamix que simboliza esse "pout pourri funk alucinação", nas palavras da dupla.
As parcerias convidadas de Beleza como Vingança também fazem uma costura plural das belezas dissidentes. Há features de artistas trans com diferentes nacionalidades e backgrounds culturais: Iêda (Brasil) e Lola Bhajan (Argentina) em Espinho Y Punhal e Enana (Alemanha / Síria) na faixa Fast & Furious. Os instrumentistas convidados são Mandacaru (trompete), Bigjohn (acordeão) e R Vicenzo (beats). As composições musicais são todas assinadas por Cigarra e Tita Maravilha.

Active in São Paulo's underground scene since may 2013, was born offering a obscure and hard type of atmosphere, and by the confrontation between eletronic and acoustic, minimal  organic and percussive, techno with african and Brazilian rhythms. Consolidated as a live production space, with dj sets, live jams, psychedelia, maracatu and post-tropicalisms with eletronic beats. 

Mamba Negra is a deep aestethic experience surrounded by an multi-language enviroment, wrapped on a mesh of hand-made work, such as cenography elements, graphic material, live vjiyng, ready made serygraphic t-shirts, trash tattoo, performatic outfit  and urban intervention.
