Emma began studying voice when she was 11 years old.  She'd just celebrated her 13th birthday when she recorded this song with us.  She's developing into a beautiful singer.  We're very proud of her!

The Mississauga Academy of Music is owned and operated by Paul Postorino and Georgina Johnson.  Paul and Georgina are both professional musicians with many years of performance, recording and teaching experience.  They opened the Mississauga Academy in September 1997 with a keen interest and desire to help develop the next generation of musical talent.  The material on the school's SoundCloud account is a sample of the school's intermediate and advanced music students.  We are very proud of our student's achievements and continue to do as much as we can to support them in their efforts through recording and live performances.

The philosophy of the school is one where we try to inspire the best out of all of our students - no matter their inherent talent or ability - so music will play an important role in their lives from childhood through to old age.  This is done by creating a joyful school environment and through positive reinforcement.  We screen teachers carefully to make sure they not only have the necessary credentials but have the ability to tailor their instruction to suit the needs of the individual student.  The result being, we have seen amazing progress with our special needs students straight through to those students who are classified as gifted.  It's all about the music and how music can positively shape the lives of those who pursue it.
