Asked to describe his music to a new listener one might falter. While it's true that there is a very specific sound at the core of his music, it is the fluid nature of Deetron's work that defines him as an artist. Yet there is one word that can be used to sum up this dynamic musical mind and the polymorphic sounds that he has mastered - Maverick.

His second album "Music Over Matter", which was released on Music Man end of last year, finds Deetron in a unique, transitional phase. The vocal element of his music coming to the fore, with his 2nd album he proves that there is no substitute for substance and skill, putting music firmly back in the frame is the message, and how poignant to today's tumultuous industry.

For the new single 'Love Song', Deetron calls on the vocal talents of oddball techno superstar Seth Troxler. Steve Bug brings his Traffic Signs alias back to life for the remix, and adds an instrumental version too. Without a doubt an irresistible package for any DJ.

The 'Need Somebody' EP comes with with three original tracks and a remix of the title cut and we've got the premiere of Borrowed Identity's rework. Trust us when we say this is a golden slice of bumping house. The German-Romanian​ producer is another artist who can change his style depending on vibe and mood and his remix is the stand-out on the record.

The piano chords are lifted from the original and introduced early on with fierce stabs, while smooth vocal cuts glide over the top. The kick drums are heavy and spread liberally throughout and the melodies, well they're just damn beautiful. We've had this one on repeat.

We're super happy to feature the premiere of this great track by our friend @man2point0 on @neinrecords. We first heard this track back in Spring this year and were instantly big fans playing it regularly and featuring on one of our guest mixes for Serial Experiments. Soon after we heard Nein picked it up along with a few other tracks and the rest is history. We reckon its still sounding as fresh as when we first heard it and happy to share with you guys on its release date :-)

We spend our whole lives waiting for something to happen, but there comes a point where we work out that if we want to get somewhere, we need to find a way of getting there.  The bags are packed the engine is running. Now is the time to plan your Journey.
Stockholm Sndrome are made up of Iain Mac and Brett Wilson who have started the year with releases and remixes on Melomana and Nein as well as having a forthcoming EP on Sub:Sonic. 
It is for Nein Records that they have turned in a slowed down remix of MAN2.0's "Plan Your Journey".  Cutting up the main screech of a riff and putting a mid tempo kick and a heavy saturated bass  creating a groove all of its own before a noise akin to breaking glass hijacks the second half of the track leaving it's captors hopelessly dependent on the sonic soundwaves that Pyz and Will-Tron have crafted.

Danny McLewin (Psychemagik) and Jamie Cruisey have a new label of original signed artists called SPIRITS. The first release is from Mexican hotness ‘Lokier' of She Made Monster and 'Jason Greer' aka ‘The Machine’, one of the Californian undergrounds best kept secrets. They met in 2015 at a festival in London and after spending a few days together, became musically obsessed with each other. That summer, as Jason bounced around Europe, he stayed with Lokier in Barcelona for some weeks and after long night walks, some tapas and absinthe bars they came up with their first EP together.

DC Promo Tracks #184: Lokier & The Machine "White Room"

Mexico City based production duo Ali X x Ximena  (@alixxximena) along with cohort Palomo (@palomovst) bring two new original dark disco techno stylings for the latest offering on @Roam-Recordings. 

The EP is backed by two excellent remixes from Roam Alumni Cabaret Nocturne and @Rodion_gomma . The latter imprinting his signature style on 'Fuel Your Passion' taking the disco meets techno track further into left field territory.

All four tracks weave together an EP full of evocative left field, Italo, techno, disco perfect for the dance floor.

Luca Venezia, AKA Curses has spent the past year moonlighting as a DJ, Producer and a label owner for Ombra International, an imprint which focuses on left of centre analogue techno with a live edge specializing in Cold Wave with a slight hint of Goth. 
The latest offering is an EP from the Postmodernism Forms, an act based between Bogota Columbia and Berlin, Germany.
A track which channels the Cure as much as it does electronic music. The second track on the B side, 'Never Forget that You're Alive' boasts a live bass, distant sounding spoken word vocals which hypnotizes as well as creates the urge to dance. (difficult not to when closing in on 135 bpm) Dark and distant but always close enough for you to remember that you are alive.
