With its 10th anniversary compilation just weeks away, Astropolis Records lifts the curtain on a new single before the main event — and it’s a serious one. 
The label brings together a dream collaboration between Dutch synth wizard Legowelt and Astropolis resident Cuften.

Titled ‘Liar’, the track is a raw, analog-fueled ride that channels the gritty spirit of electroclash, retro-futurist rave energy, and DIY ethos. 
Fueled by distorted robotic vocals, vintage drum machines, and gnarly synth lines, it plunges deep into the shadowy pulse of ’90s rave culture — a sound that both artists know inside out.

Marking a decade of sonic exploration, the upcoming vinyl compilation will gather longtime affiliates of the festival, cornerstone artists of the Astropolis family, and fresh faces from the electronic scene. 
Expect exclusive collaborations and unexpected encounters, all wrapped up in a release set to drop later this year. Stay tuned!

We're super happy to feature the premiere of this great track by our friend @man2point0 on @neinrecords. We first heard this track back in Spring this year and were instantly big fans playing it regularly and featuring on one of our guest mixes for Serial Experiments. Soon after we heard Nein picked it up along with a few other tracks and the rest is history. We reckon its still sounding as fresh as when we first heard it and happy to share with you guys on its release date :-)

They also nailed a weird and wonderful remix of Phantasy’s own Future Four (a creative partnership between Erol Alkan and The Emperor Machine founder, Andy Meecham), which has become a go-to selection for the likes of Gerd Janson.

Consisting of the acid-tinged dream team of Iain Bogg and Matthew Waites, both of whom have been DJing for decades, the music of Dark Circles is a case study in the power of acid techno, with shades of Chicago jack and even the vintage days of proper proggy house.
