Simone Besana, aka O.P.S., is an Italian DJ and producer whose sets traverse italo, house, cosmic, and baroque-infused realms. Born into the golden age of vinyl, he grew up crate-digging through his father’s 70s and 80s collection - a legacy that shaped his obsession for rare sounds and timeless grooves. A self-proclaimed “Dandy Dreamer DJ”, O.P.S. blends past and future, weaving disco warmth with electronic depth. His alter ego, ITALOBOY, emerges in his productions: a sonic universe of synths, vocoders, and genre-bending creativity that channels the spirit of the 80s, 90s, and beyond. From underground Italian clubs to international stages, O.P.S. has built a name as a passionate selector, tireless digger, and sonic storyteller. Every set is a unique journey - nostalgic, futuristic, and always deeply human.

SOULMEEX sixth label release is finally here, delivering a luminous burst of dancefloor energy with The Velvet Dust EP by Faroese-Copenhagen artist Brynjolfur. Infused with Balearic dream house aesthetics, it unfolds as a three-track euphoric journey. Deeply cinematic yet built for the club.

The EP features Skyline Groove, Solstice Serenade, and Golden Circle, each offering a different facet of Brynjolfur distinctive sound. To complete the package, Portuguese-Italian producer Vhyce delivers a striking remix of Skyline Groove, adding his own personal touch.

The visual identity of the release is completed with artwork by Icelandic photographer Valtýr Daregard, adding an atmospheric layer to the record.
