Hypercolour round off a busy year that has seen recent releases from the likes of Kerrier District, Gary Gritness, Roman Flugel, DMX Krew and Outboxx.  And in their 10th anniversary year, the label close 2016 with the heavyweight pairing of Mathew Jonson & Sebastian Mullaert.

Two summers ago, with no distinctive aims or deadlines, Jonson was invited to come and work with Mullaert and stayed for 5 days in the exceptionally beautiful surroundings of one of Sweden's National Parks. Inspiring a creative process far-removed from the harsh and harried pace of urban life; freedom to jam, play around and most importantly, reconnect with nature and the natural flow of ideas while deep in the forest, allowed their collective visions, directions and feelings to comfortably unwind. 
 
As Mullaert puts it "the freeing up of space and time allows an artist to rediscover him or herself. Frames can't be too rigid, static detail hinders the process to unfold in a beautiful way". Engaging mostly in ambientic-style sessions 'Pollen 4 Life' was made on a day the mood took them in the direction of the dance floor. True to form and still escaping any kind of prescribed formula, the music embodies this fluid, evolving journey and a sense of losing yourself...
 
Both long-time figureheads of electronic music, Mathew Jonson (one third of Cobblestone Jazz) and Sebastian Mullaert (one half of techno duo Minilogue) have been collaborators and an inspiration to each other for over a decade, first with releases on Jonson's label Wagon Repair and most recently as live trio Mathew Jonson vs. Minilogue, which only stopped touring last year. Originally meeting at the fabled Labyrinth festival in Japan 2005, Mullaert explains "our paths have crossed in different ways and now it's time for an EP together; the fruit of Mathew's visit to Röstånga. Pollen 4 Life".

The two brothers of GEBRÜDER TEICHMANN have been regular guests at the early KILLEKILL events. That’s because they have a very similar approach to electronic music as we do. First of all they are deeply in love with the music itself and not the fame, the money or whatever one might expect to get when making music, and second they have a wide musical horizon and interesting perspectives on it, because they are active on several levels, as djs, musicians, promoters etc. First of all though they got class and taste, and so we are happy to present their cooperation with one of our personla heroes and one of the very big names in early house music: JOHNNY DAN- GEROUS aka FOREMOST POETS.
With many Chicago greats, Johnny is One of the inventors of The Deep House Sound through
his own blend of future funk & spoken word. In 1990, he released his first underground hit single “Reasons To Be Dismal?” on Nu Groove/SBK Records. A few years later, Johnny dropped the atomic bomb “Problem 13 (I Beat That *itch With A Bat)” in 1993 and orbited into the Dance Music Hall of Fame. Since then, the name carries great respect in the underground throughout the entire world. When Johnny’s striking voice appeared on his release “Moonraker”, he set a new standard for DJs around the world.
Together with Johnny the TEICHMANNs have produced “TIME’S ALMOST UP!”, an acid house anthem that transports well the energy of Johnnys early works: funky, trippy and positive, a dance- floor with a consciousness that’s rare nowadays.
LOSOUL, one of Germany’s finest house producers, delivers a reduced and even more tripped out version of the original.

At the beginning of last year I went to listen and see Isolée during his live act in Lausanne. He started that night with a really amazing tune - something so full of love and harmony, something that is definitely rare at the moment.

One week later that song was still in my mind and so I asked Rajko what it was, to which he answered: "I did a soundtrack for a skateboard movie and the track I started my live set with is a draft of it." I asked him to make me an edit to be played in my set. I’ve been playing "Dennis" for the past year in all my sets around the world and always receive a fantastic reaction from the smiling crowd.

One year later this special song called "Dennis" is ready to be played by you and the world and I'm really proud and excited to start "Xtra Tamed" with such a masterpiece! I asked one of my best friends and one of the most talented producers around, Baïkal (from Maeve and Innervisions), to work on the remix and trust me when I say that this rework has a similarly funny but long story as the original cut! Isolée vs Baikal sounds like a match made in heaven, don't ya think?

If it takes only 7 days for the first two releases to completely sell out, It comes as little surprise that the label is causing a stir with all the usual suspects. Heavy club rotation from many A-list DJ's has only thrown more fuel on this blazing fire.

It all started one day in Heiko MSO's studio, where Frost and Einzelkind were casually listening to some old records. When the first few notes of "Flying Turns" came through the speakers, their ears pricked up. With the track still pumping from Heiko's speakers, the boys sent an SMS to the Chilean sound wizard, Ricardo Villalobos, letting him know they found something special. Inspiration set in, and riding a wave of creativity sparked by this hidden gem of a track, the boys turned out a revamped version for 2013. Villalobos never forgot that SMS and seemed equally inspired by the track which encouraged an approach to ask him for a remix. Well, he delivered not one, but two reworks. Could there have been a better way to complete this into a 4 track dream of an E.P.? We think not, and we're quite sure you'll agree.

PTX005 - B1 - Flying Turns (Frost & Einzelkind Nervous Center Edit) - Preview

Butch is rightly regarded as one of the most prolific producers in electronic music, having graced countless revered labels including Sei es Drum, Cocoon, Rekids and Visionquest. 
On FTS he makes his long overdue debut on Desolat with four deep and distinctive tracks. Opening track ‘Pompino’ kicks off the EP with a distorted rhythm and contorted vocals which build and build into a twisted and trippy groove. ‘Dimensions’ follows in a similar vein, developing slowly and building tension until the tracks drops back in a distorted fashion with distinctive bells and unnerving harmonies. B-side ‘Desert Storm’ captivates the listener from the off, with a hypnotic rhythm until the track lives up to its exotic name and sees a wailing vocal comes in and cut through the beat. ‘Sonny Got It Going On’ rounds off the EP in fine style. Proceeding at a slower BPM, it features crisp drums and a dusty gangster-movie sample, culminating in a distinctive and classy slice of electronic music. 
On ‘FTS’ Butch lives up to his billing as one of the finest producers around, delivering a four-track twisted and hedonistic journey through expertly crafted underground sounds.
