Son Of 8-bits' approach of 'Midnight Nation' emphasises clanky percussion rhythm, fat tone and haunting vocal action.

Intricate and off-beat melodies, an old-school broken beat percussion pattern and fast-paced pulsating grooves are the main traits of the remix by ADEPT....

On Saturday the 22nd of February I had the honor of playing a dj set at the Oosterbar, one of Amsterdam's hidden gems of the eastern part of the city. I closed this 3rd edition of OCTAVE, organised by the guys at Patterns, with a banging mix of Acid, Techno, some Industrial Techno and a cheeky selection of cross-genre tunes you would not expect at a Techno party.

Kelvin Celcius at Encryption | XX - XX - 2020

I finally uploaded my Ni90l happy hardcore mix recorded at last years 90-Ish party to soundcloud. After the party I planned to record an extended version (but never did so)  because 45min play time was way to short to play all those lovely classic happy hardcore tracks, so many tracks I like where excluded. Also the mixing at the party was not as smooth as I would have liked, and am able to when mixing at home. Its a bit rough here and there. But these things happen when you are actually mixing in a club. Your ears need to adjust to the sound, equipment malfunctions (sticky cue button), distractions around you etc.
Long story short: Last week I played this set a couple times in my car on the way to work, and really liked it. So I decided to finally put it online. One of the rare occasions I play happy stuff, only heard before at the Nature One camping parties, and a couple of times at some of my dear friends wedding parties.

Ni90l aka War Is Inevitable @ 90-Ish Party @ OT301 (9NOV2019)

I recorded a 99+ minute long mix on the Thursday of NYE 2020. Why? Because I felt like recording. No real (free)parties in my vicinity to visit this year during NYE because of Covid. So, why not record what I would've wanted to hear/play at a 'normal' NYE party? This is also the first installment in the Another Realm series, which I will be uploading throughout 2021 and beyond. Dates of future installments in the series are not set and will most likely come at random.

Another Realm is a exploration of Acid, Techno, Electro, Industrial, Rave, Core, Tekno and more, just like the way I play my dj sets as ADEPT (or Man Unseen for that matter). No (real) single genre or bpm constraints, but a big mash up of styles that go well together. Everything from the 90s, 00s, 10s up until recent releases of the 20s.
