Whats Nature (2021) for string quartet

The inspiration for the "Seven Obsessions" comes from reading Edgar Allan Poe's novel "The Tell-Tale Heart." In that book, the
protagonist goes mad and harms an old man due to the peculiar eyes.
The seven sections of this piece each portray an obsession with different elements. For instance, "Ad libitum" can be seen as the increasing madness inside
the protagonist, while "Nostalgia" expresses a fixation on memories
of the past (in the early movements). Ultimately, the obsession reaches its peak in the final movement, primarily manifested as an intense, trembling desire, just like in the novel, the protagonist killed the old man.

Seven obssesions for bassoon(2023)

The "Sonata Metamorphosis" was written in the summer of 2023, depicts the struggles a young composer may face during his growth, both in music and life.
No matter how difficult these setbacks may be, the young composer will not give up; he continuously learns from his experiences, becoming stronger than before and persistently seeking the possibility of self- transcendence.

The term "Zhi Dou," derived from Chinese philosophy , signifies a refined and balanced state where each entity interplays through 
mutual restraint, competition, and collaboration. (Battle of wisdom) In this context, the four entities are the composer, the machine (with rhythms 
generated by python), the performer, and the conductor. 
This composition delves into the intricate dynamics between these elements, aiming to rethink the responsibility of the composer in music.
