This is an original song written 33 years ago in I believe 1981 by a family friend, known as Donnie Munk on SoundCloud. He was in a band with my mom who recorded a self titled album "Pumphouse". My mom sang the lead vocals on this song. I was only 8 years old, but I connected with this story and melody. All these years later, in Dec. 2014, I re-composed the music, re-arranged and performed all the vocals as a tribute to my Mom and all of our talented family and friends who inspired me to be a musician and vocalist. Thanks Donnie for allowing my creative license to make some updates and changes. This was a Christmas Gift for my mom.. Very sentimental and emotional for both of us. I hope you like this classic, timeless sounding ballad.
