Second Wind is a song that represents perseverance. Having experienced many hardships since my first album, Thunder Heart (released in 2006), I have often felt overwhelmed and discouraged. Many times I have thought about giving up my dream of making music. But my heart kept pulling me back to the peace and healing of the Native American Flute. My flutes have supported me through countless challenges. They have guided me through the shadows of grief, walked me into the light and offered a Second Wind.

Facing Darkness

Very much a collaboration.

Tante Meli supplied vocals and lyrics, vocal production, very good drum ideas, synth swells and sampled organ.

Faerytale played perfect cello and pan flute.

I brought guitars and bass, bass synth, sampled organ, digital percussion and drums. Then I attempted to mix it all.

It was fun.

more playing with the g0 today.. the sound is from a hohner pianet recorded into the modular on the g0 with a secondary loop made on the make noise phonogene. i then play some of the pianet into a looper i made on the eventide h7600.

unfortunately, in all my playing around i really messed up the pitches and had a hell of a time trying to get all 3 loops in tune with each other. eventually i thought it sounded sort of interesting, mostly because it's not very "me" to do this...

Man And Things, consisting of Robert Ranaldi, has played in several outfits starting in his early teens, doing original songs that could be described as an eclectic blend of alternative rock, pop rock, and indie-style songs often with a strong focus on original melodies. Man And Things currently writes and records with the use of standard (e.g., guitars) and MIDI instruments interfaced with computers.  Man And Things has released one full length album of instrumental tracks (titled “In Deep”, released in November 2013) which as well received and reviewed positively (scored 3.8 out of 5) by “The Equal Ground” an EP entitled From Where The Sun Was (July, 2014) also receiving positive reviews (3.5/5) and just release a new album titled "Good Luck To Us".
