@jolie_mahan: of course, because they all work together so closely its hard for them to prosecute, or even bring charges against police officers. and this can/is obviously the case in most jobs, unfortunately when it comes to the police it has a much more negative effect on the public.

@jolie_mahan: yes, i hate the vicious cycle aspect you're describing, too. when I was talking about the "group mentality" during the episode, I was going to bring up the prison gaurd/prisoner experiment they did i forget when... that's very similar to what you're talking about with the Milgram experiment. great comment on this. thanks, Jolie.

He wasn't resisting?? Everyone knows that when you talk to the cops you keep your tone down, be respectful, and discuss the matter. For me, the fact that this cigarette peddler got caught, got confronted on the street and instantly got irrate and loud. To me, thats a sign of guilt. General knowledge is that when the cops tell you to chill out, you chill the fuck out. Also, we are missing the entire beginning of that video. Raising your hands in the air and not putting them behind your back is resisting when they tell you put your hands behind your back. That's common knowledge. Anyone that gets loud, is a potential threat. Think about how many irrate people the police deal with on the daily. Have you watched Cops on TV? I think the question should be is it proper conduct to resist by not pitting your hands behind your back and talking it out??
