The level in which you are bothered by this comes off a bit masaginistic and condescending.. She is adult and she choose to continue this personal value. Is it based on her religion yes and it's one she is still choosing although it's more of something ingrained in her she has still be around long enough to make another choice and decided to keep it. That makes it her personal belief. She is providing options for those who want to continue a modest lifestyle as they call it. The French spin is to free them from their beliefs. She is ridiculous because of ur position of religion but it's about choice and she is making an argument on choice. What makes this choice different from cross dressers

What's wrong with being a quiet achiever.that is selfless and it takes ego out of the role which we see companies get destroyed by people who feel need to get credit.. Although again she may feel that way based on her religion it doesn't make her feelings less valid. Calling it weird is... Its almost saying what Trump said about khans wife in a more polite tone.  There is a concept of freedom from and freedom to. You want her to have freedom from what we consider an oppressive religion she wants freedom to do the things that are harmless that helps her express her religion openly and co-exist with those who don't. You man not feel this way but you are seeming more upset that she wants to stay in line with her Creed and belief than break out of it and wear a swim suit in the traditional sense

you don't know that for a fact Islam is practiced in different ways, it's very ignorant of a statement to say she would "get in trouble" for not wearing the hijab most Muslim house holds women do have the choice to wear it or not.

The covering of women is a throwback to a time where dowrys paid by the bride's family were based on how attractive the woman was. It's basically the same thing as keeping your cards close to your chest. It's actually quite barbaric.
