Donut Worry, Bee Happy Hardcore Mix by MandiKandi

I played at Noon on the Mainstage at Flow Faire 2022. This castle was packed with Hennesey Sound and I wanted to take full advantage of them. I couldn't help but play some happy hardcore, it is what made me fall for EDM and I have the most fun playing it. 

I play some Fleetwood Mac, Sublime, 311, I like to find songs that everyone loves but remixed in a way that is new and brings out your inner bassface. I was searching all year long for the best songs for this day, and I found so much more than I needed and was even able to play a set in the projection-mapped dome stage! I failed to record that one tho, I will just have to play it again sometime. :P 

I was able to successfully mix 5 different genres! Happy hardcore, hardcore experimental, trap, weird wuybby dubstep, and a pinch of riddim! I am so pleased with how it all came together! I was so nervous, Sorry for the screaming, I was excited and just had to let it out. That was the happiest moment of my life so far. Music is everything. I love to play a little something for everyone. 

I know Danielle Dafodill would have been so proud and was probably jamming right there with me the whole time. <3

I am happy to be able to upload the recorded live set from the Sonic Soul Tribe stage this past year at Burning Man!
 
I am forever grateful for Sonic Soul Tribe, I love them to my CORE!
They are family to me. This was my second year to burn with them and I wouldn't have it any other way. 

I am so excited for the future and have so many projects to look forward to! Follow me to keep up with the creative growth!

I hope you enjoy this set, it is my favorite set I have played to date! I have fun mixing up genres, I felt like the desert called for something wonky yet energetic! <3 

Fun side note: I played after Aphrodite and he was so nice when we were trading off, he laughs and says "This is kind of annoying tho" and he pointed over at the Cue for the headphones STUCK on for one of the decks. I couldn't hear the track because one was constantly playing in our ears. This probably would have been a good time to use sync, but I didn't, I try not to because it can get messy with sync sometimes. I just rolled without it and kept going. So much was happening! I also had the controls to the Fire for our stage, so I was multitasking and jumping over some dj obstacles and trying to hit the flames for the best drops, luckily my friend DJ Pamdemonium came and hit the fire for me a couple of times <3 Love her! Check her out too! It was a whole lot of fun! :)

Burning Man 2024 was Curiouser & Curiouser.
The theme of our camp for Thursday night was Curiosities of Bass, So I felt the feral urge to play all the good things that bump. I decided to take our camp on a journey of genres, playing a little something for everyone. I am pleased to release this set to be enjoyed after our trip to the dusty Wonderland. 

Thank you to my Tribe, Sonic Soul Tribe, for everything they do and for allowing me to express myself for who I truly am.  I look forward to our next trip to the dust together. I love you guys.

I can't thank Camp Questionmark enough for welcoming me in. I had so much fun bringing the weird vibes with such an amazing crew of like-minded talented individuals. I am so inspired for the future! I wish I could've brought my dear friends to this magical place with me. 

I wanted to take this opportunity to take my friends with me to the playa, even tho they weren't physically there. I am surrounded by many bass producers who have been putting out some amazing tracks lately. To show them I am proud of them and that I love them, I made sure to play tracks from my local producer friends here in DFW, and some other artists I have had the pleasure of making friendships with along the way. Music brings us all together. I wanted to ensure their music was heard on a proper sound system in an environment where it could be the most appreciated.

The last song is dedicated to all of my friends who couldn't be there, especially Danielle Daffodil <3

The future is bright, and together, we are about to create so much bass from the underground, that the earth will shake. <3

That stage and sound system was a dream! So amazing! I feel blessed af. I can't wait till next year! Question Everything! )?(

[ I saw Incubus at Toyota Musc Factory in DFW Texas the day I got back from Burning Man. It was wild hearing them play this song live and singing it with everyone in the crowd, just thinking about how I played it for everyone at Burning Man in this set. What is life?! Wild, I love it. Ozzy Osbourne was my first true appreciation for music, and Korn was next. "Crazy Train" was the first song I wanted to learn on the guitar. Randy Rjoads inspired me so music an wowed me. I am only imagine them on the other side catching up and rocking out again. I can thank my mom and dad for teaching me good taste in music at a young age. Ozzy's music helped me through so much, and I love him as a human. His whole family is wonderful, and I pray for all the best things to come their way. Disco Apocolypse -Sonic Soul Tribe Burning Man Camp Fundraiser -Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne

There are so many artists and so much art to enjoy. 10/10 can't wait till next year!
