This song was written after I had a conversation with my Dad about some stuff I am dealing with at the moment and I said "don't let the rest bring you down" about not letting all the troubling stuff in life stop me from making it out of a bad situation with my head held high. My dad told me I needed to write a song  with those words, so I just wrote the phrase down and let it go until I had time to think about it. And sure enough later that afternoon I was able to turn it into a song. I told my pal The Junez about it and he said let's collaborate on it. I couldn't pass up the chance to create more. Why you ask, cuz The Junez is quite the talent. He took the demo I created that evening and created the instrumental masterpiece (bass, guitar, drums, synth, more keys) with only a hint of keys from me that I was able to go nuts on it to record the vocal tracks. Then he mixed and mastered all of this over the last few days. 

He makes it too easy for me to share my song ideas with the world so I won't ever stop sharing my music with him.  

All of this is created because I use music to heal and I hope that it helps you get through a tough spot too. Don't let your tough moments take you down to the depths of depression. Find a way to pull yourself back up and keep moving forward :)
